"You're going to pay for this"
It's been 2 days but his voice still ringing in my mind which scares the hell out of me. I didn't tell anything about this to grandma, that day my boss scold me so much for not attending the important meeting.
I went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water when I heard the door opened, grandma entered in the apartment.
I smiled at her, she looks so tiered I feel too bad her. I moved closer to her engulfing her in my embrace and asked "did you have dinner?" She hummed in response.
I always find peace in her embrace she is my only family. We were sitting on the sofa, my head was on her laps she was caressing my hair, When when a notification popped on my phone. I saw a message from Lilith my manager sending me video asking me "is this you?"
When I saw the video, my whole body stiffened, my throat dried. There was me slapping the arrogant asshole, and to my worst it got viral.
I also saw news stating "THE HEIR OF KNIGHT EMPIRE GOT SLAPPED BY A WOMAN" my mind went blank. Im sure when he said he's gonna make me pay, he meant it. Now I just have to face the worse.
POV Evan
I saw the news all over the internet and news channel. The anger started to build up, all I could think how can I make her life miserable.
Amidst my thoughts, someone entered in my office, when I lifted my head my dad's angry face came into my vision. "What the hell is going on Evan? What did you do to her that she slapped you? Is this true?" he barked at me.
"Dad, I can explain, it was her fault, she was the one eho broke my car's headlight, made it dirty" I tried to explain.
"and she slapped you? I don't buy it. That's why I always tell you to settle down, I know you son. Your wild lifestyle is going to get you into serious trouble one day.
That's it, enough is enough you are going meet this girl on Sunday and marry her, she is my friend's daughter, and I'm not asking you, I'm telling you, if you don't show up then, forget about being CEO, I will disown you, mark my words" with this warning he left the office.
Shit, now I can't say no to him. I'm going through this shit because of that girl. I will make sure that her life will be hell from now on. With that thought I called my personal investigator.
"Did you gather all the information?" I inquired. " Yes sir! I will send it to you by night " he replied.
I groaned in frustration and informed my IT team to take down the news. Rest of the day I was attending some important meetings. Although everyone was aware about the news but nobody dares to ask me anything.
In the night, my friends visited me at my penthouse. They are aware about the situation "What do you gonna do to her" asked Franco
I looked at him with expressionless face. Suddenly I received a notification of mail by my investigator. I opened it.
Bella, orphan, age 24, working in small publishing company as a translator, lives with old woman who used to work in the orphanage.
"What is it?" asked David. I looked at him, I smirked and said " Guys dad wants me to get married, right?" they both nodded "I will get married"
Surprised by my statement Franco said "what are you thinking Evan? No, you can't do this. You can't ruin someone's life"
I shot him a glare but did not change my mind because I'm planning something vicious for her. She has to be punish for that slap. I will make sure that she regrets everything.

POV Bella
Im scared, although the news were subsides from the internet, I'm still worried. Fortunately grandma is not aware about this and I prefer it this way. She has already done so many things for me and I don't want to create more problems for her.
But I don't why, there is this feeling that something is going to happen. I have this restlessness after that day.
Anyway, I'm doing my work absentmindedly when a phone call disturb my trail of thinking. It was an unknown number, I picked it up "Good afternoon Maam, am I speaking to Ms. Bella?" I was asked by the other person.
"Yes" I answered "Maam I'm calling from St. Mary Hospital, a patient named Clara Watson is brought to ER this afternoon. She is suffering from Cardiac Arrest and currently in ICU. We found your number as emergency number in her phone, hence we called you, please come to the hospital as soon as possible.
My mind froze, I couldn't think straight, my sight got blurred as tears started to form in my eyes. Grandma, No No this can't be happening. I can't leave without her, she's the only one for me.
Taking a deep breath I pulled myself together and went to my manager telling her the medical emergency. Fortunately she gave me permission to leave early. I gathered my things and left the office hurriedly.
