Chapter - 22

POV Author

Bella has her psychiatrist appointed today. She visited hospital with her grandma. And obviously Evan had to tagged along.

Whole time grandma was giving him side eye but also behaving like he is invisible.

Bella had a forty five minutes session with her psychiatrist, grandma and Evan were not permitted to be inside with her.

Therefore they both were sitting in the waiting area. Evan was observing grandma, rather he was trying to search a perfect opportunity to talk to her.

But whenever he opens his mouth, grandma ignores him. First fifteen minutes were like that.

Evan got up went to the canteen and bought a coffee for himself and a tea for grandma.

With two hot drinks in his hand he approached grandma.

"Grandma please have this" Evan offered.

As usual Grandma ignored.

He sighed, then put a tea on the  table, bent his knee to sit in front of grandma. He took her hand in his and said.

"Grandma please, please listen to me just for once, I know, I have made mistakes no scratch that I have done sin. I was arrogant to ignore Bella's internal beauty rather I didn't see it because my eyes were blinded by revenge.

Im sorry for that, I deserve your hate and I also know that I have lost the right to ask another chance from you but I'm going to do that. Because the reason is Bella.

I can't leave without Bella, grandma. To tell you honestly, even I dont know what is happening to me, whenever she's not around, I feel restless. I feel like, I should be the only reason for her smile, I want to rip everyone's eyes who even looks at her.

Grandma it's scared me when I saw her lifeless eyes, it's like somebody pulled the floor beneath me.

I want redeem my all the mistakes grandma, just one last chance please, if I fail to make her happy, you can take her away. I promise you I would not show you my face in this lifetime."

Evan tried to convince grandma, grandma was just looking at him with a blank express on her face. Not even a smallest line of her face changed.

After finishing all the talks Evan just looking at grandma with hopeful puppy eyes.

"Done?" Grandma asked with stoic face. As if she was unaffected by Evan.

"I do not repeat my mistakes Mr. Knight, I once made an error by trusting you, no, not anymore. Therefore, your talks and how sorry you feel doesn't matter to me"

Grandma said it with utter harshness. Evan sighed in defeats.

"But grandma...."

Before he could say further, Bella entered in waiting room with her doctor.

Grandma got up and went to Bella, she talked with her psychiatrist. Bella looked at Evan asked him in sign what  happened, but Evan just shrugged his shoulder, Bella gave him a sympathetic look.

POV Evan

I tried to talked with grandma, huhh but no use, I guess I have to work hard to get her approval.

After session Bella made her way to me. I gave her an encouraging smile and pulled her in my embrace.

"How's it?" I asked pressing my lips in the crook of her neck.

"It was good, peaceful" she said.

Im happy that she's recovering, I didn't wanted to let go of her but I could feel grandma's killing stare at me so, we pulled apart.
