Myung Jaehyun and Kim Woonhak have a bond that most people would dream of.  They were the closest of friends, if you were talking to Jaehyun you'd be sure that Woonhak was right around the corner and vice versa.

They had been friends for years, most people at school would think they're brothers due to how long they've known each other.

Most of their schoolmates would forget that they had other friends. Especially one very close one.

You'd think that in their friendship, there wouldn't be many secrets kept. And if there were any, they'd usually be revealed in a matter of weeks — even less most of the time. They weren't that serious either.

It was another boring day at school for them. Lunch was usually the highlight of Woonhak's day, because of how much he loves spending time with Jaehyun, and especially talking to him, the two were only next to each other at the start of the day. A couple weeks after the start of the school year, they were already away from each other, on opposite ends of the class.

Lunch was the only time where he could sit freely next to his best friend. He already had his tray with all his food, he was waiting for Jaehyun, who was talking to the cafeteria lady. Asking him many details about the food for today. Woonhak scoffed and smiled at the lunch lady, he whispered in his ear to stop talking. Once Jaehyun thanked the worker, the younger boy immediately pulled him away.

They looked around the canteen, searching for their friend who was already supposed to be eating. After a couple of seconds of observation, Jaehyun made his friend follow him.

They sat across from their friend, the two were next to each other, like always. They greeted their friend, extremely energetic, he chuckled and greeted them back.

Jaehyun took the doughnut off of Woonhak's tray and handed both his own and the younger boy's doughnut on his tray.

"Aw thanks Jaehyun!" He exclaimed, pushing away the main course to start eating the total of four doughnuts he somehow managed to get. Three from other people: Jaehyun, Woonhak and the boy next to him whom he didn't know, and his own.

"Already eating your doughnuts hyung?" Woonhak asked while chuckling, he found the elder cute whole eating.

"How are you Riwoo-hyung?" Jaehyun asked, although they were in the same class, he didn't have any conversation with him yet. Riwoo didn't answer yet, he was too busy eating.

"Good, just tired!" He exclaimed, with a short chuckle. Jaehyun nodded and then forgot about the conversation. His eyes fell on Woonhak's lips, he didn't understand why he always stared at his lips, it had become so normal for him that most of the time he didn't even notice it.

--

The rest of their lunch period was spent together, they talked about their classes, although they were in the same one. They talked about what they would be doing over the weekend. Unsurprisingly, Jaehyun and Woonhak were obviously going to hang out. Nothing new.

They were disappointed when the bell rang; they realised they still hadn't left the cafeteria and would most definitely be late to their class.

The three quickly grabbed their trays and cleared them before rushing to the lockers.

Jaehyun and Woonhak obviously shared theirs while Riwoo shared it with one of their classmates that they weren't very familiar with. He just needed someone desperately to share with.

The second bell rang as Riwoo closed his locker, he didn't have enough time to check whether the locker door was actually locked.

They were out of breath when knocking at the door, they quickly apologised for their lateness and went to their respective seats. Jaehyun and Riwoo were next to each other out of luck, when the seating plan was made they got assigned next to each other.

Woonhak wasn't as lucky, he found himself next to a girl. And the worst part about her is that she constantly flirted with him. That was something he absolutely hated, he knew that he could never reciprocate feelings towards her. He felt jealous, the way she could easily fall in love with the opposite gender was something he'd never have.

It was something he knew for a couple of years, he never was fully in love with a boy. But some tiny feelings came and went. Those feelings were obviously directed to a boy. He wished he could be "normal". At least normal as deemed by their country.

The girl was nice to him, but he hated the way she clearly liked him. She wasn't hiding her feelings whatsoever. It was something Woonhak could tell he'd never be able to do.

He'd see the girl as a friend, but for now, he wished she'd stop how she was acting. It made him feel uncomfortable.
