Secret | Jaehyun x Woonhak

Jaehyun looked at Woonhak and smiled at the boy. Light beaconed the younger boy's face, highlighting his attractive features. Jaehyun was trying his hardest to hide any feelings he had towards his best friend as he didn't want him to know. A small part of him wanted to blurt it out at the top of his lungs, even if it meant that they'd probably get kicked out of the library because they were being too loud.

"You're so pretty Woonagi~." Jaehyun slightly teased his best friend, he knew that compliments like this would make him a complete mess. He was also teasing him with the use of the nickname. He didn't hate it, but it wasn't his favourite nickname.

He always let it slide though, as it was Jaehyun. For some reason, whatever the older boy called him he would always like it a bit more.

As expected, with the compliment, Woonhak turned bright red. He put his hand over his face, giggling like a little girl. He playfully slapped Jaehyun's shoulders.

Jaehyun broke out into a fit of laughter, he loved making his friend flustered, the best part about teasing Woonhak was that he'd never fight back. Which always leads to way more annoying compared to their other friends.

"You're also really handsome Jaehyun-hyung!" He exclaimed, not being  able to keep a compliment to himself. He had to share one back, it was necessary.

Jaehyun didn't know what came over him, but when looking at his best friend all the nervousness in his stomach left.

"I love you Woonhak, more than you could ever know, to the point where I hate how much I adore you, you're my earth wind and fire, I think of you all the time, I love you. I really love you, and you don't get how much I do." He blurted out, he started rambling as he was filled with nervousness. Woonhak stared at him, his eyes softening with every word he heard until they started getting humid.

He wasn't crying because he didn't want his best friend loving him. In fact, he was more than happy, but it was rather the fact that the rambling that he was hearing was heartwarming.

"As a f...friend?" He asked, he hoped it wouldn't be the truth, he really hoped it was because of his genuine feelings.

"No, as someone who loves you in a romantic way." He replied, he held his breath while waiting for a response. He could only hope for the best. He didn't want their friendship to become awkward because of his own mess and internal struggles.

"I've been keeping a secret — if you could call it that — as well hyung. I also like you Jaehyun-hyung. Maybe even love you." Woonhak replied, he looked at the floor blushing. He only felt the warmth of Jaehyun's body on his, hugging him tightly. It was getting a little hard to breathe, but he didn't even care. He hugged him even tighter if that was possible.

"Should we be boyfriends then?" Jaehyun asked shyly, Woonhak's face lit up. He never thought he'd hear something like that come out of his mouth.

"In every universe, including this one, I'd say yes," He paused for a short while, searching for something else to say. "So you're now my boyfriend, I'm Myung Jaehyun's boyfriend." He smiled, they ended the hug, Jaehyun looked at him for a couple of seconds.

"My boyfriend's so handsome." Jaehyun said, he planted a quick peck on his forehead, he then walked away as he realised that it was getting late, and they had been in the library for the past few hours. Although he'd much rather stay with him, he promised his mother he'd come and help her with dinner.

Besides, his father wasn't home which meant that things would be pretty calm at home. Sometimes they'd have a bit of background music usually chosen by Jaehyun.

"You're leaving?" He pouted and followed after for a short while. Seeing him pout also made him pout. "I'll see you tomorrow then." Jaehyun said, Woonhak furrowed his brows, they didn't have school tomorrow m.

"We're going on our first date." Jaehyun smiled, walking backwards to see him one last time. He then turned and walked in the correct direction.

Woonhak felt his heart flutter, he quickly went back to the table they were sitting at and grabbed his bag he had left on the chair next to him. It wasn't until he looked down at his clear phone case with a Polaroid picture of the two of them together that he realised that he was officially dating him.

He touched the left part of his chest and felt his heart pounding fast. He had only one thought in his mind. I'm Myung Jaehyun's boyfriend. That was what he kept thinking, it kept repeating in his head.
