Secret | Jaehyun x Woonhak

(XVII)

"Hey Woonhakie!" The girl greeted him in the hallway, Woonhak rolled his eyes. He knew he was about to get flirted on. Haruna would never leave him alone, she really tried her hardest to get with him. Despite knowing his sexuality, Jaehyun was always jealous of their interactions, even if they were only one sided. It annoyed him very much.

Riwoo noticed this, despite not knowing about Jaehyun's feelings, he could make an accurate guess about what was happening.

Jaehyun scoffed when seeing the girl touch his best friend's shoulder. He left Woonhak alone to go to his locker for a couple of seconds and he was already getting attacked by some girl.

Riwoo let Taesan in front of him, so he could put his books in the locker at the same time as his lockermate. Once they were done, Jaehyun had enough of seeing Haruna with Woonhak. He probably could've acted more mature, but his feelings took over and he pulled Woonhak by the back of his hoodie, then by his forearm.

"Woonhak! The amount of times you've been uncomfortable around her, tell her you're not interested!" He exclaimed, telling him off like he was some kind of toddler that just did something punishable. Although he was just trying to be polite with her, he knew deep down, that Jaehyun was somewhat right.

He followed — mostly by force — Jaehyun up to his classroom. He would've gone anyway, even if the older boy hadn't dragged him.

The group of four was joined by two other boys that were already waiting in front of the classroom. Already neatly lined up against the wall, clearly the elder's idea.

"Hey Sungho! Hey Leehan!" Jaehyun greeted the two with a wide smile, as if he wasn't bursting with hours just seconds ago. Woonhak smiled at them and waved.

Taesan went up to them, obviously being closer to them, he also talked a bit. Riwoo, Jaehyun and Woonhak were included in the conversation right after.

"Do you two have any plans of getting together any time soon?" Taesan asked with absolutely no filter. He wasn't wrong in asking that question, but it just was slightly out of context.

The two boys looked at each other for a couple of seconds, they both wanted to kiss each other but they stopped anything romantic happening between them. They didn't want change in their friendship.

"No Taesan!" Jaehyun exclaimed and pushed him in a friendly way, making sure he didn't get hurt. Riwoo who was watching them laughed — but not mockingly. It was never mean when he laughed at his best friends.

Woonhak didn't understand the sudden impulse to kiss his best friend. He wanted this feeling he had to stop. Whatever it was. He just needed to know why he was feeling like this. Like with the butterflies he felt any time he would talk it interact with Jaehyun.

He was left with his thoughts as the rest of their classmates arrived in the hallway as the bell just rang. Woonhak was right in front of Jaehyun, he didn't want to turn to talk to him for one simple reason: that weird feeling he had around him.

He hurried to his seat at the back of the class. Thankfully, he had been separated from Jaehyun under the pretext that they talked too much and were a disruption to the class.

"As if the others don't talk as much" Is what Jaehyun would always say when entering the classroom. He wasn't wrong, other students talked a lot, maybe even more than them sometimes. Yet they were the only ones to have been separated.

It always made Woonhak smile, the fact that someone cared so much about where he was in the classroom. For Jaehyun, it just seemed so logical, obviously he would want to be next to his best friend. But the younger boy would always gush on about how good of a friend he was.
