Jaehyun and Woonhak were on the latter's bed. They were hugging, more like cuddling. The older boy initiated the hug, but the other would've never rejected it. Not only did he find Jaehyun's hugs extremely comforting, but he also didn't want to accidentally hurt him by not accepting one.
Cuddling was a normal activity for the two. Not for most best friends. But Jaehyun and Woonhak weren't the usual type of best friends.
"What are you gonna do once you have a boyfriend?" Jaehyun asked, to much regret. He didn't want Woonhak to have a boyfriend. He wanted to be the most important person for him, which he currently was. But if he got a boyfriend, then he would be knocked down to second place. Or even third place due to how close the younger boy was to his younger sister.
Woonhak, who was under Jaehyun, paused for a couple of seconds. He looked around for a couple of seconds, not saying anything. He wasn't really ready for a boyfriend yet. He already thought that taking care of Jaehyun as a friend was already hard enough.
"What if you get a girlfriend?" Woonhak avoided answering the question, he didn't want to talk about it. Jaehyun paused for a couple of seconds, strangely enough, he seemed rather offended by him being asked what he would do if he had a girlfriend.
Woonhak didn't understand why he looked so mad about the use of girl. The amount of times Jaehyun had talked about his heterosexuality, he thought that he was a hundred percent sure that he was straight.
But he quickly realised that he was assuming his sexuality just because of a quick reaction.
"Are you gay as well?" He couldn't help but get his invasive thoughts out. The words slipped out of his mouth before he had enough time to process what he was even thinking. He quickly apologised once realising that he shouldn't have asked such a personal question. After all, he came out on his own free will, without any forcing at all.
"... Yes.." He replied after a long moment of silence and hesitation. Woonhak felt a smile straying to form on his face, knowing that their whole friend group wasn't fully straight reassured him. Riwoo came out months ago, he accidentally came out, and the whole school knew about it. At first he got quite heavily bullied to it, but people then got tired of it, and since summer came, they stopped.
When seeing Woonhak's adorable smile, Jaehyun couldn't help but smile back, a small blush started to form on both of their faces.
When everything was quiet, with some rather strong tensions that were most definitely not platonic. The door opening in a swift movement broke the moment.
Jaehyun quickly got off Woonhak and greeted the latter's sister. She stared at the two boys for a couple of seconds, trying to comprehend what she just saw. But then quickly moved on.
"What do you want for dinner Woonhak-oppa?" She asked, that's when Jaehyun realised that it was starting to be late. He quickly looked at his phone, checking for a message from either of his parents. He didn't know why he checked, most of the time, his parents didn't really care about what he was doing.
While Woonhak was talking to his sister, Jaehyun was searching for any trace possible from his parents. But there was absolutely nothing. Not a single message, not a single sign of worry. It seemed like they were happier when he was out. Or maybe that just meant that they could fight in Peace, without any interruptions from their son.
"Do you wanna eat with us?" Woonhak asked, it slightly scared Jaehyun, due to the shock of the voice, he immediately turned his phone off and jumped a little.
Once he recollected his thoughts, he nodded and thanked them a bunch. He really loved being at the Kim's house. They always accepted him like their own son. Something that he wasn't used to. He wished that it could be what was usual at his home.
