"New Job"
It was a rainy day in Seoul, the local Vet, Kim Seok-Jin, stood outside the clinic with a cigarette in hand whilst his stress and worries disappeared within those small puffs of greyish smoke. His brown hair was messy and his face quite sweaty and tear stained. Something happened.
"Jin?" A taller lynx hybrid popped out from the back door, his short tail moving behind him side to side.
"What is it Namjoon?" Jin sighed, crushing his cigarette under his shoe and turning to face the taller figure behind him.
"I think you need to see this." Namjoon said, it was then that Jin realised the clear bloodstains on the Hybrid's hands. He took a deep breath and ran a hand through his hair, eagerly following the lynx until they reached an abandoned room at the end of the dim lit hallway.
"Why are we here?" Jin raised a brow while staring at the 'STAFF ONLY' sign on the door.
"Look through the window." Namjoon said, his pupils had then turned into tight slits against the light colour of blue of his eyes.
Jin bit his lower lip and took careful steps towards the scary door, as he looked through the slight tinted window he couldn't help but see only darkness and a small red light blinking inside. Each time it blinked, it was already somewhere else, his eyes widened in realisation once the light finally got close enough to the door.
"What should we do?" Namjoon asked, his expression cold and serious, standing behind the veterinarian as if they were about to be confronted in any second.
"We need a way to get that collar off, let's just hope the government doesn't notice a hybrid is missing." Jin said, his heart beating faster each step he took back and away from the door.
"They never do," Namjoon scoffed and turned away to call another nearby nurse. If only he hadn't done that.
A few months had gone by, it was then a cold morning at the clinic. The only difference was that Jin had company that day, a girl in a black pixie cut and red sweater. She looked rather sleepless.
"Waaah! His secretary? No fucking way." Jin yelled in disgust as the two entered the clinic, Namjoon's ears were pressed against his hair when they got inside, sensitive and perhaps wishing their murder for being so loud.
"Jimin told me to come get a hybrid, I told him no, but, you know." The girl shrugged with a sigh, Jin couldn't help but laugh at the story.
"What type of hybrid did you have in mind?" Namjoon joined in with his usual smile and dimples.
The girl shrugged, "Whoever's apartment friendly, I suppose." She said, hugging herself because of the previous cold environment outside.
"Namjoon will gladly show you arround, if you need anything, I'll be in my office taking care of some paperwork." Jin patted the girl's shoulder and left towards a small room next to the front desk.
The girl bit her lip and stared at the lynx, examining his every feature like some sort of painting in a famous museum. He had a slick back mullet in a soft pink colour with a small strand poking out and falling in front of his eyes, it somehow contrasted with his pointy black and brown ears.
"Shall we?" The lynx raised an attentive brow, to which, brought the girl's attention back to the subject. Her dark brown eyes blinked slightly before nodding hesitantly.
"I suggest you keep yourself close to me, it's an easy occurrence getting lost in this clinic." Namjoon warned while walking with his hands behind his back while the girl quickly walked beside him.
Her eyes ventured towards the clothes he wore, it was the usual white lab coat, but with a twist. Most assistants would use either pants or skirts in his position, but instead, he technically wore both. Half of his lower half was a black denim skirt alongside baggy denim pants. Somehow he made it work.
