"Money"
Mirae didn't know what to do, it was a Saturday night and that giant bird was currently occupying her bed again. She needed someone, a person that knew how to take care of the situation and wouldn't give her too much trouble.
She couldn't call her cousin Jimin, he was a kindergarten teacher, not a vet. So asking him would amount to literal nothing, and Hoseok was the same situation. He'd probably just tell her to call Hybrid Emergency Services and get him put down.
She sighed, knowing who's her last resort, thought she didn't want to, she dialed the number on her phone
"Ah...Mirae? What's wrong?" Jin asked in a slurred voice, probably because it was 2 in the morning.
"Mr.Kim" She began to tear up, her voice trembling as fear began overcoming her senses.
"What is it? Did something happen?" Jin asked, now a little concerned over her.
"Yeah um..." She gulped, "I've got Taehyung. I'm sorry for not telling you earlier." She said.
"Huh? What...what do you mean?" Jin questioned
"He's been with me since Wednesday, I didn't tell you because I was so scared--"
"That's amazing!" Jin shouted with pure joy, Namjoon could be heard whispering in the background, Mirae became startled by the sudden noise.
Mirae frowned, "It is?" She sniffled, tears dropping down her cheeks the more she blinked in confusion.
"Yes! That means we can start our phase two of the project!" Jin couldn't help but grin over the phone.
"Phase two? What is it?" She wiped her face quickly with her hand and sat back down on the couch.
"We needed someone that could be trusted by the crow, and it turns out it's you! Now we just need you to continue doing...eh whatever it is that you're doing." Jin chuckled nervously.
"No, what the fuck?" Mirae scoffed, "First of all, he's not registered in my name yet--"
"We'll fix that up for you."
"Well then what about my living conditions huh? He's not going to be comfortable here, especially with his wi--"
"If he made it all the way from the clinic to your place, then he's definitely comfortable, especially since he's been there since Wednesday." Jin smirked over the line.
"Well..." Mirae scoffed, "I'm not doing it. I signed up to work at the clinic, not at home, especially with a hybrid you've claimed to hurt--"
"We'll pay you extra."
"Deal."
