"Dog."

It was already pretty dark outside and Mirae was currently sleeping while sitting inside reception. Namjoon walked in with a teal coloured mask over his mouth and nose, his soft pink hair was slightly messy but still tried to maintain its push back style at the same time. His entire body looked tired and dark circles could be spotted right beneath his eyes as he walked up to the sleeping visitor.

"Mirae." He whispered, Mirae slowly fluttered her eyes open.

"Hmm?"

"We finished the check up, he's stable for now but there's going to be some agressive scarring on his neck." Said Namjoon while taking off his gloves and shoving them onto the pocket of his white lab coat.

"Is it bad?" Mirae gulped, Namjoon nodded.

"You don't have to worry about taking care of him now, we already got what we wanted, so you don't have to stress over him anymore out of work."

Mirae breathed in a sharp breath, she was quite glad that all of the mess and stress would be over...but at the same time she wasn't.

"Too bad, I was starting to enjoy the extra money." She forced a smirk, Namjoon simply chuckled and shook his head.

"A real shame, but your safety won't be tempered with anymore. Another win for you!" He shrugged and took a seat next to her.

"Namjoon."
"Yes?"

"I still have questions over the whole government Hybrid stuff." She admitted while playing with her own fingers against eachother.

"Like what exactly?"

"The collar...what will happen to him now? I mean... he's technically wearing that collar since birth right?" Asked Mirae.

"Well--yes. We're still not sure how to deal with him, nobody had much contact with these types of hybrids before, as an outsider. But we'll try our best." Namjoon shrugged while tapping his thumbs against one another.

"Well--" Suddenly Soobin came running in while holding onto his arm as if it were broken.

Namjoon quickly stood up and looked over at Soobin to check what was wrong.
"What happened?" Asked Namjoon.

"The Crow." The boy panted in pain, groaning ever so slightly when Namjoon tried to take a better look at his arm.

"What did he--" But before he coulf finish his sentence there was a loud crash and soon enough a nurse came rushing in as well but fell onto the ground once tackled against it.

Mirae gasped, it was him. Taehyung.

"Stabilize him!" Soobin shouted to a nurse that stood behind them. The nurse grabbed onto a syringe and slowly walked up behind the hybrid, it would've worked if--

"No! That'll make it worse!" Namjoon interrupted and the Hybrid quickly slapped the nurse behind him with his wings. The fragile nurse that laid underneath him could only but squirm in pain while blood ran down her nose.

The hybrid looked up, glaring at both Soobin and Namjoon as they stared him down in fear. But then he gasped, his icy blue eyes connecting with a familiar pair of dark brown ones.

"Kang." A little grin spread itself across his lips whilst his eyes began to tear up, Mirae frowned in confusion.

Namjoon noticed the sudden change and looked over at Mirae, he then looked back at the crow. An idea quickly popped up inside his mind.

"Kang...Kang?" Namjoon then pointed at her, gaining the crow's attention but also a glare.

"What are you doing!" Mirae hissed, Namjoon waved her off while staring back at the hybrid.

"You want Kang? Is that it?" Namjoon spoke softly while slowly approaching Mirae.

Right when Namjoon was about to grab her, his foot was caught. All of the sudden Mirae and Soobin saw as Namjoon fell on the floor and was dragged away by the feral hybrid and picked up by the neck. Namjoon's pupils grew into thin slits as he began to develop a low growl rumbling inside his chest, never breaking eye contact with the crow.

"Hyung! Don't do anything!" Soobin shouted, soon enough a couple of nurses ran in and tried to approach the two. The crow glared at them and threw Namjoon towards their way, making them all crash down onto the floor.

"Call the police for fuck's sake!" Mirae shouted at Soobin, and everything was quiet.
She looked at Soobin up and down, he looked absolutely petrified with something. She followed his gaze and was met immediately with Taehyung as he stared down at her with a blank expression. Her breath hitched.

"Mirae." Namjoon groaned in the distance, "You're his owner! He'll listen to you!"

"What--no!" Mirae gulped and took a step away only for Taehyung to take a step closer.

"Kang? Are you okay?" Taehyung said, his voice soft and comforting. Why though?

He was looking at her as if she were the most precious thing in the world, fearing that if he got any closer he could break her like glass. He wasn't the same hybrid that was attacking Namjoon a few seconds ago, and that frustrated her.

"Taehyung." She breathed shakily, he tilted his head attentively.
"Sit." She blurted, everyone began to stare at her in confusion.

Taehyung blinked but shook his wings a little, leaving small feathers behind, and sat criss cross on the cold floor while staring up at her like a puppy. You could say Mirae was a little taken back, she didn't expect him to actually do it.

"Good...Good bird. I guess..." She cleared her throat awkwardly and gestured for everyone to stand up and take it as a chance to rest a little.
