"At Home."

Kang Mirae arrived at her apartment complex completely perplexed, a white calling card from the vet she was at was held softly in her hand. She sat down on the couch and simply stared down at it, but soon enough her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of her phone while it rang tremendously loud.

"Hola?" She answered, now laying down on the couch and staring at the calling card. On the other end of the line, a boy giggled softly.

"Yah, stop pretending you know Spanish! Am I a scammer to be treated like that?" Park Jimin, her cousin, nagged in a usual playful banter. The girl scoffed while a smile formed on the corner of her lip.

"Did you talk to Jin?" He asked attentively.

"Yup." She responded.

"What did he say?"
"I couldn't find a hybrid for me."

"What?! Aish, what was it this time?" Jimin whined through the phone, he had been trying to get her to adopt a hybrid for ages now. The only reason she'd agreed that time was because of her recent breakup with her toxic boyfriend.

"I couldn't find anyone interesting. I...I did get a job though." She blinked, the confusion events played over her head as she stared more at the small white card in her hand.

"Huh? I didn't know hyung was hiring, I thought his clinic had a good number of employees, and the number of people who volunteer over there is the highest one in Seoul... Weird." He said, his tone clearly puzzled and confused.

"From what they told me is that they'll be needing my help with a little project of theirs." Mirae said.

"What kind of project?" Jimin inquired.
"A Crow."

"A crow? Like the animal?" Jimin couldn't help but frown at her response.

"No, a hybrid." She shrugged, Jimin on the other hand couldn't help but grow even more fascinated with the sudden 'project'.

"I thought crow hybrids didn't exist? The only bird hybrids I know are the common parrots." Jimin explained, and unfortunately he spoke the truth. Not many bird hybrids roamed around in Korea that often, especially up for adoption.

The only birds that the clinics and adoption centres are able to get a hold of are the parrots, the reason behind it was because they were the only 'important' breed for humans because of their beauty and coloured feathers.

Mirae never understood why hybrids had even been created, the creatures were basically another type of trophy people made society spend money on.

"Well, he has one. And now he wants me to come to the clinic to help with the hybrids and stuff." She said, the white card finally falling out of her hand like a leaf.

"Well you didn't get a hybrid, but at least you can start paying your own rent." Jimin teased which led the pixie haired girl to scoff at his words.

"I never asked for Hoseok to pay my rent, he's so fucking stubborn." She said, hoping that her cousin would eventually believe her for once. He didn't.

"Right, well now you can repay him! Yipee!" Jimin spoke up sarcastically, the girl rolled her eyes again.

Meanwhile, Jin and Namjoon walked together towards their bedroom to rest. Jin sat down on the bed while Namjoon laid his head on his lap and silently purred while being scratched on the ears. Jin, on the other hand, seemed rather busy with his thoughts.

"What is it?" Namjoon grabbed his wrist, gaining the guy's attention, Jin eventually looked down at the pink haired lynx.

"Why would a government hybrid not attack someone? He almost killed our employee of the month!" Jin said, running his hand through his hair like a mad man. Namjoon chuckled and sat down next to him.

"You should be glad he didn't." He warned "I don't think the clinic would be able to hide another lawsuit from the public." The lynx suggested, Jin sighed.

"I know. But..." He trailed off, thinking of what to say next, only to end up with a dry mouth.

Namjoon noticed and grabbed the water bottle on the small bedside table next to him, he opened it and handed it to Jin.
"You'll get over it tomorrow." Namjoon then planted a kiss on Jin's temple and stared down at him while the nervous boy's expression finally softened.

"I love you." Jin blurted, resting his head on top of Namjoon's shoulder.

"Love you too"
"Who doesn't?" Jin snickered when Namjoon rolled hid eyes at him before they bid their final good nights and went to sleep.
