"The Cousin."

Mirae was currently shopping inside a nearby convenience store for things to make lunch for her and Taehyung, a little bit into her shopping however, Jimin called.

"Minnie!" Jimin announced happily like a puppy.

"Hi Jimin." Mirae answered dryly while picking up some red pepper paste from one of the shelves.

"Aish why so dry? I thought I was your favourite cousin!" He chuckled.

"Sorry... I'm a little stressed right now so don't expect me to sound too excited." Mirae said while analysing her little basket to see if she had everything.

"Ah ok." Jimin chuckled, "Perhaps I can lighten you up with the news?" He asked.

Mirae frowned, "Maybe?'

"My mum, your dear Auntie Park, demanded me to ask you if you have any news in regards of your little visit this Christmas?" Asked Jimin.

"Well, Hoseok didn't tell me if he could come with me yet. So I don't have a ride at the moment, but if anything I'll just call you or your dad to come pick me up." Mirae shrugged.

"Hmmm.... Alright, if you do so, please call us like two days in advance okay?" Mirae nodded.

"Sure." She said while giving the little plastic basket to the cashier.

"Sooo.... how's the job so far? I still can't believe Hyung is paying you that much just to work three days of the week." Said Jimin.

"Not sure either," Mirae shrugged and adjusted the phone against her ear as she took out her wallet to pay.
"I'm not complaining though, I'm rather grateful actually." She chuckled.

"Aah good for you!" Jimin laughed, "And how are you holding up?"

"I'm fine."

"You're lying." Jimin accused.

"I don't know." Mirae sighed and bowed at the employee before taking the groceries with her into the street.

"Well, in any case, I'm here for you." Said Jimin.

"Thanks buddy," Mirae chuckled and bid Jimin goodbye when arriving at her apartment door.

She got inside and went to put stuff away into the kitchen to start making the food, after taking care of the seasoning she looked over at her bedroom door, it was closed, perhaps locked as well.

She let the teokboki on low heat and went to check up on Taehyung, slight anxiety began to linger inside her stomach.

"You okay in there?" She knocked.

The door opened and it revealed Taehyung's messy mixture of black wavy hair and feathers while a permanent blankness could be seen in his expression as usual.

"I'm making some food, you hungry?" Mirae asked.

"I'm hungry." He said, his voice deep and husky as if he had just woken up.

Mirae nodded and gestured for him to follow behind her towards the couch, Taehyung simply sat down with his side leaning against the back of the couch so that his wings wouldn't occupy the whole couch itself.

"Here." Said Mirae while handing him the hot bowl of noodles and Teokboki, "Careful it's--oh." She said as Taehyung managed to grab the botom of the bowl with his hand.

"Is your hand okay...?" Mirae stared down at him with a confused look.

"Yes." Taehyung responded dryly.

Mirae sighed and soon enough found herself staring down at the little red light blinking against the metal collar around his neck, she wanted to see it again, she wanted to see that bright green colour one more time.

Mirae wasn't sure why she wanted to see a simple light that much, perhaps she was a bit too curious for her own good.
