It has been a week now since cals accident. Connie visited everyday with out fail and stayed a couple of nights because she couldn't be bothered to drive home.
Connie was at home getting her dinner ready when she got a text from grace...
"Hey mum I am on the school bus on my way home from school because summer broke up early. I will explain why when I get home see you in about an hour xxxxxxx"
Connie quickly texted cal to let him know. She had forgotten all about grace after everything that went on in the past 2 months.
An hour later connie had eaten had a chat with cal and tidyed up the house, when there was a sudden knock at the door. She opened it up and there stood her little 12 year old daughter.
'Mum!!!!' Grace ran straight In and gave her mum a huge hug.
'Hello gracie! I have so much to tell you'
'Go on then you first"
'Well let's go and sit I the living room first eh?'
Once they both sat down and got comfy connie started to speak.
'Right well first off it was about 2 months ago now, and I manged to get with someone and that some is cal do you rember him from work'
'Of course I remember him! Mum honestly I am so glad I have seen the way he looks at you i just hope he sticks around that's all'
'Oh I am so glad gracie! But there is something else... While you were away I had to be taken to hospital because I stupidly took a over dose on anti depressant'
'Mum what the hell!'
'I know I know and im sorry I really am, and there is one last thing cal had and accident last week. He got hit by a car and is still in hospital. If you want we can see him later?'
'Yeah mum I would love to be is he ok?'
'Yeah Yeah he is fine now'
Grace told her mum all about school and how sam was up I Scotland. By the time they had finnished chatting it was 7 pm so they decided to go and pay a visit to cal.
Connie and grace arrived on Keller and was greeted by dom and essie. They walked up to cal and he said 'Grace it is so nice to see you again'
'Nice to see you to cal but I do have one question?'
'Fire away'
'You are not going to leave mum are you?'
'Grace I would never leave your mum I love her to pieces'
'Awww I love you to cal' Connie went up to him and gave him a hug and a quick kiss while grace was making gagging noises in the background.
'You just wait grace you will get to this stage later in your life' Said cal with a laugh. 'So grace tell me all about school'
Grace told cal all of what she told her mum about school but also added a bit extra, 'and I also it was a couple of months ago now I got called to the headmistress office'
'Grace what did you do?' Said her mother with a unsettling tone
'Well there's this boy at school that fancies me and I hate him and he keeps trying to touch me and I ask him politely bot to and to go away, but this time I just lost it and I punched him in the face and I broke his nose!'
'Grace honey this isnt like me but we'll done you!'
'Connie what on earth are you going on about'
'Cal when I was at school honestly I did this all the time but I just never told any one'
'Really mum I have obviously learned from the master!' Said grace giggling at cals very bewilder face ' so mum your not mad at me'
'Of course I'm not'
Connie could feel that her and her daughter were getting closer and closer by the minute.
By 9:30 grace had fallen asleep in her chair and essie came over to say that connie and grace had to go home.
'Grace, grace honey come on we have to go home now'
Grace stirred and woke up, 'bye cal' she said with a yawn.
'Bye gracie see you soon' cal quickly kissed connie and the to girls set off home.
