It had been 2 weeks now since cal had his car accident . Which also means that grace was now at home with her mum and they were both visiting cal everyday.
Connie had managed to get two weeks off to look after grace and cal. One saturday afternoon connie was sat on the sofa with her laptop on her knees because she was working but from home.
Suddenly grace walked into the room and sat down on the sofa next to her mum but didn't say a word.
'What's up gracie?' Said connie a little concerned.
'I can't do it'
'You can't do what love?' At this point connie had put her laptop down on the floor and was now facing grace.
'School' Grace says bluntly.
'Wait... what's going on at school grace?'
'One name... Diane Nayer'
'Has she been bulling you at school?'
'Yes, mum please let me stay down her with you'
'Grace of course you can stay down her withe but what would your dad say?'
'Mum I don't care about dad I want to be with you and cal. I love you both, and I think we would have some amazing times together'
'Well we will have to sort it out with your dad... come here' Said connie with her arms stretched out for a hug.
Grace lead into connie to give her a hug. Connie said with her chin on graces head, 'one question, why didn't you mention this before?'
'I don't think it has really sunk in until now I mean , I'm like you... never show emotion'
'Ok'
'Can I not go to boarding school though... Please?!'
'Why I thought you liked it?'
'Mum I hated it. It was so boring!'
'Ok' Connie said with a laugh.
An hour later while grace was watching TV quietly connie decided to call sam.
'Sam yes it's connie... look grace has just asked me is she can move back down here with me.. why you mean you don't know?...Grace has been bullied at school sam, and she wants to also spend time withe and cal... cals my boyfriend and grace likes him as a second dad...fine... GRACE CAN YOU COME HERE PLEASE... your dad wants a word'
Connie sat down on a stall at the breakfast bar and waited for grace to finish talking to sam.
Suddenly grace shouted down the phone 'BECAUSE I HATE IT THERE!!'
'She slammed the phone down on the side and ran upstairs to her room.
Connie reached over and grabbed the phone 'Hello?... ok send all her things down... right see you soon bye!'
Connie ended the call and raced up the stairs to see if grace was alright. She knocked on the door but didn't get a answer so she went in.
Grace was lying on her bed crying into her pillow. Connie went and sat on the bed. She just went to put her hand on graces head to stroke her hair when grace jumped up and hugged her mum around the neck.
'Hey it's alright it's alright mums here' they sat there for a good 5 minutes when grace pulled away.
'What did dad say about me moving in with you again?'
'He is going to drop your stuff round next week'
'Thanks mum... For everything' Said grace hugging her mum again.
'Hey come on, let's go down stairs and do a no angels marathon'
'Seriously mum you are the best!'
Both the girls ran down the stairs. Grace got the drinks while connie got all the snacks she could find, then they both jumped on to the sofa and started watching.
30 minutes later connie had texted cal to say that grace was moving back in.
'Grace hun you do realise you are not suppose to be watching this don't you?'
'Yeah and?'
Connie just smiled, she was finally getting really close to her daughter again!
