Friday had finally come which ment connie was working all day and cal had grace for the day.
Just before noon grace and cal were watching CSI new York on the tv when suddenly cal turned it off.
'Hey cal what did you do that for?'
'Sorry grace, we will catch it on Iplayer later i promise. Now look I really need your help with somwthing'
'I'm listening' Said grace now very intrigued.
'O would like to do something special for your mum this evening' he told grace what he wanted to do and then they both headed to town to get the things they needed.
Back at the E.D connie was haveing a really bad day. With paients comeing in every 2 minutes and paper work s takeing up on her desk connie was just getting too stressed.
At 2 pm connie had just discharged a paient from cubicles and stormed straight past zoe at the nurses station and went straight to her office and slammed the door behind her. She sat there with her head in her hands and her eyes watering.
5 minutes later there was a knock on connies door. She turned her head away so who ever it was couldn't see that she was crying.
'Come in'
'Hey connie... can I sit down?' It was zoe.
Lately the 2 females had gotten really close and we're now best friends.
Connie head snapped straight to zoe and the door and burst in to tears again. Zoe shut the door and ran over to connie to comfort her and gave her a hug.
'Hey what's the matter this isnt the connie I know?' Said zoe.
'I'm just so stressed' Said connie in tears.
'Ok look I tell you what you go home early amd ill finnish up here and do all the paper work.'
'Seriously' Zoe just nodded. 'Thanks zoe'
Connie grabbed her stuff and walked out to her car and got in. Just before droving off she texted cal to say she was comeing home early and that she would explain when she got there.
Cal received the text from connie. Luckily grace and cal had got everything ready for connies special surprise and they took there positions. Grace ran up to her room and cal jumped in the back of his car so connie wouldn't see him.
Connie pulled up on her drive way and went inside.
'Hi guys im home' she said bust she didn't get a answer. Suddenly she got a text from cal saying. 'Hi hun go to the kitchen xx'
Connie walked into the kitchen and say that a table had been laid out for 3 with wine glasses and candles. She spotted a post in note on one of the plates and picked it up and read it.
It said:
Connie please go to the font door and open it xx
Connie went back to the front of the house opened the door to find cal standing there.
'Connie the minute I laid eyes on ypu I was in love with you. I love everything about you. I am so thankful that you have let me into yours and graces lives. I love you so much.' Cal got a small box out of his pocket and got on one knee. 'So Constance beauchamp will you marry me?'
Connie who was now in floods of tears said 'cal what a stupid question of course I will marry you!'
Cal stood back up and put the ring on connies finger and in one swift movement picked connie up and kissed her passionately.
Grace was sat halfway down the stairs as planned so she could watch the proposal. She ran down the stairs and closed the font door and looked up slightly at her family and said' Once you 2 have finnished can we start celebrating?'
Cal set connie down and she grabbed grace and pulled her into a tight embrace as both the females started crying with happiness. Connie kissed grace on the top of her head and pulled away.
'Right come on then let's have a drink while we wait for the dinner to cook' Said cal with a big grin on his face.
Everything was comeing together. Connie was now getting married to the love of her life and was loved so much by her family. But she also had great friends who will always stick by her side no matter what!!
So just to give you a heads up the next chapter will be the planning of the wedding and then the next will be the wedding xx
