It's been a whole year since the connie and cals wedding and the incident with Sam but they have put it all behind them.
Grace was now 13 and she had her moody moments but was now back at school and had made some new friends and was doing really well.
Connie cal and grace had moved house as they thought we could start a new life in a new house. They weren't that far away from there old house.
Connie was still the clinical lead but was helped alot by zoe and shared a office with her as well as they got on really well.
Cal was still working as a registrar and went out a couple of times with the boys down the pub then cane home to connie and they both cuddled up on the sofa.
Today grace had a inset day so she had to go to the ED with connie and cal ad they were both working. Luckily connie was doing emails all day so she spent a hour with grace helping her with the stack of homework she had.
"Right I give up with history" said grace
"it must be genetic as I can't do history" said connie laughing.
"Mum I got biology!"
"Cool what have you got to do?" Said connie now interested.
"Er I ha e to estimate these question. Oh here's one how many times dose the heart beat in 24 hours?"
"Erm.."
At that point zoe walked in.
"Oh zoe how many times does a heartbeat in 24 hours?" Said connie with a smile.
"Grace what kind of a homework question is that?" Said zoe. All 3 girls started laughing.
Suddenly ethan knocked on the door.
"Oh ethan you will know this" said zoe giggling. "How many times dose a heartbeat in 24 hours?"
"Near enough a million times"
"Smart arse" said connie laughing "it's graces homework don't worry anyway what can I do for you ethan?" Smiled connie try to contain her self.
"Sorry your husband is in cubicles he walked into a door and had a bit of blood on his cheek."
"Ok I will go see to him thanks ethan" said connie laughing. "ill be right back grace ok?" She kissed the top of her head and walked around the desks and out the door.
Connie went into cubicle 4 and burst into laughter at cal. He got up started tickling her until she was a heap in his arms. Both still laughing connie patched up cal and then said
"You do realise you are supposed to open the door then walk through it"
"Shut up mrs" said cal smileing. They both quickly kissed before heading back to work.
When connie got back she found grace on the computer talking to someone. She had past zoe on her way back as Zoes pager had gone off so she had to leave grace.
"Grace what are you doing darling?" Said connie shutting the door.
"Talking to Elliott on skype"
Connie sat in her chair and grace sat on her lap.
"Hello elliot"
"Hi connie I was just talking to grace and saying how I was wondering if you would be able to assist me on theatre later at 1?"
"Sure what's the procedure?"
"Heart transplant"
"Elliot Hope you do to need me to do that!"
"it's on Jessica Saunders"
"Oh my god your pulling my leg! The Jessica Saunders?"
"Yes"
"Absolutely I will meet you at 12 up on Darwin."
"Mum can u watch you do this? I have never seen you in theatre?"
"Sorry darling you might throw up"
"Connie if she is anything like you she will be able to stand anything." Said elliot with a smile.
"Right ok you can grace but on one condition you have to do all your biology homework and your history you have 2 hours"
"Done" said grace nearly bouncing of the walls she was so excited.
"bye Elliot" they both said in unison.
"Bye ladies see you later".
Once the call was ended grace cracked on with her homework. She plugged her head phones in as it helped her concentrate and started the music.
At 12 grace and connie headed up the stairs to Darwin and was greeted by mo and elliot.
"Grace!!" Mo ran over to grace and picked her up and gave her a hug.
"Hey mo so are going into theatre with mum and elliot?"
"No I am over seeing in the same room as you!"
"Great now I am even more excited!"
So the next chapter will be about theatre and what happens because nothing comes without a price!!! Xx
