Hiya guys so I have only just came up with the idea for this chapter so I am really sorry if it is rubbish! Please let me know what you think XXX
Alarm bells rand in everybody's head!!
That one word was all Connie needed to hear. She ran inside grabbed her purse and phone, took of her heels and ran and ran. She didn't know where to but she was just letting her legs Carry her away with tears streaming down her face.
The next grassy bank she got to she collapsed in a heap on the floor with the tears bot wanting to stop.
Back with cal:
"Right iain come and hold graces head for me, dixie get the medical bag from my car, and charlie can you keep grace calm and look for any other injuries and cal just stay here and call an ambulance I will be right back" Zoe ordered. She took of her heels and raced in the direction that connie went.
It was 2 o clock in the morning so it was pitch black but after a while of search zoe heard the sound of crying and finally found connie.
Zoe sat down beside her quietly. Connie was the first to say anything.
"Why is it always me?" She said while sniffling, "my life was getting back together! I am married to the overall of my life I have brilliant friends and I was Finally getting closer to grace... then he came and destroyed it!"
"Connie we will catch him!"
"I should have seen it comeing. When I first ran away with grace he said 'I will come for grace then for you' I didn't think much of it but he has and he will come for me next!"
"Look we will not let that happen and neither will cal he will protect you even if that means throwing himself in front of a bullet!"
"Your right he will" said connie with a smile
"Right come on now you have to be the brave one for grace" Zoe stood up and held out a hand for connie. She got up and gave zoe a hug.
Both the females walked quickly back to the others.
At this point grace was now calmer and on a stretcher and being loaded into the ambulance.
"I will follow on in the car with the others connie" said zoe parking up her medical gear and heading the car with the others.
Dixie and iain jumped in the back and zoe and charlie were in the front. It was just luckey that max had decided to drive rather then getting a taxi.
For connie and cal in the ambulance it felt like a forever drive. Connie held graces hand all the way.
When they all got there zoe couldn't risk connie breaking down in resus so she told her to go to her office. Connie hesitated but then went and cal stay to get updates on grace.
2 hours later they had done test and grace was fine more shock then anything. She had no bleeding to the abdomen. That was their biggest worry.
Cal left grace asleep with zoe by her side and went to go and get connie. He walked into her office and found her asleep on her sofa with makeup running down her face from all the crying. He went over to her crouched down to her level and gently shook her shoulder until she woke up.
Everything hit her like a tonne of bricks
"Cal where's grace!!! Don't leave her alone" said connie sitting bolt up right.
"She's fine connie calm down she is with zoe" said cal trying to calm her down desperately.
"So how is she?" Said connie really struggling not to cry.
"She's fine she is going to be discharged in the morning. Now what are we going to do about the reception we have left everybody there"
"Erm... let them party they'll be fine" said connie yawning
Connie lend in to kiss cal. He got up picked up connie turned around and sat back down with her on his lap. They stopped kissing and just stayed there.
2 days later
It was 9 am and connie hadn't been sleeping much. She got up and got dressed into her running gear and left cal a note to say where she had gone.
She had only been out for 15 mins when she got a phone call. She clicked the button her head phones.
"Hello?"
"Connie I was wondering wether you would pick up"
"Well sam I wouldn't of if I had known it was you!"said connie. Her chest had gone tight and she was now walking so she could hear sam loud and clear. "Me and grace are protected trust me. You won't hurt her again nor will you try and hurt me"
Sam hung up. Connie turned around and headed home running g harder and harder at every step.
Once she got home she opened the door slammed it shut then leaned against it and slid down so she was sat on the floor with her knee to her chest and her head in her hands. The tears comeing fast.
Cal heard the door slam and ran as fast as he could down the stairs. As soon as he was connie he raced to her sat down beside her and she turned into him and cried into his shoulder.
It was only then that he realise she was in her running gear.
"I take it you went out for a run to let off steam" said cal with a sigh.
Connie nodded.
Grace came down the stairs and saw her mum crying and she knew straight away why.
"He's comeing for you next isn't he" She said directly to her mum.
Connie just looked up at her daughter. Her brusies were fading and she was looking much better.
"No he's not because I will do anything to protect you girls got it?" Said cal
Grace ran over to her mum. Connie stood up and hugged her and whispered while sniffling "I'm sorry I'm so sorry"
They all got changed into something baggy and sat down and watched films all day. They had decided to take each day as it comes no planning.
Connie curled up to cal and grace curled up to connie.
Connie fell asleep in the afternoon as she hardly slept. Here phone was on the coffee table and cal picked it and read the message.
'Stay safe connie but keep you eyes pealed! sam.'
That was it for cal. He wouldn't leave the two females sides. No matter what.
