I hate her

Ella and Keira had been messaging about the whole fight situation and realised that they needed to do something to get the girls to get along. Rivalry was good but the two of them had both developed a thorough hatred for the other and they needed to cut that out.

"We've got some dinner guests tonight," Keira said, walking into Maisie's room. She knew her sister wasn't going to be happy about this but it was for the best.

"Who?" Maise asked, feeling excited at the thought of the City girls coming over.

"Ella and Erin Toone."

"No. Absolutely not."

"Please Mais. You two need to get along."

"I hate her."

"You don't know her."

"I know her well enough to tell that she's a bitch and I don't want to spend the evening with her."

"Maisie please just do it. For me."

"Well I seem to have lost this battle anyway seeing as you've already made up your mind so fine."

"Thank you," Keira said, relieved that it hadn't gone as badly as she'd expected.

Ella pulled up outside her parents' house. She'd already briefed her parents on the plan to take Erin and they'd both agreed it was a good idea.

"Hello," Ella said cheerfully as Erin opened the door. Her fifteen-year-old sister had a scowl on her face.

"Why have you done this? You know I don't like her!"

"You two just need to see each other outside of football."

"Why would I want to do that? She's hardly going to be any different."

"You don't know that."

"I do."

"Look we need to be there in an hour so go get ready. If it's completely awful we can leave quickly."

Erin turned and stormed from the room without saying anything. She wasn't a people person like her sister and spending an evening with people she barely knew, plus one she hated, wasn't her idea of fun.

Keira and Lucy were just prepping dinner when they heard the sound of a knocking at the front door.

"Mais they're here!" Lucy shouted. Maisie was lying in her room and sighed at that statement. She was hoping they weren't going to turn up.

Keira opened the door and smiled at Ella and Erin.

"Y'alright?" Ella said.

"All good. Come on in."

Keira and Ella did a lot of chatting as Lucy cooked and Erin sat, wanting to leave already.

"Luce can you give Maisie another shout?" Keira asked, realising her sister hadn't appeared.

Lucy did so and reluctantly the sulky teenager emerged. She looked pissed off, much like Erin, and nodded as a greeting when Ella said hello.

Keira and Ella kept on chatting with Lucy joining in, the two teenagers both eyeing each other up and looking away when the other caught on.

"So Erin I hear you're in the band at school?" Keira said, hoping to get a conversation going.

"Yeah. I play the clarinet."

"That's cool. I used to play the saxophone," Lucy said.

They discussed music some more and Maisie stayed quiet, having nothing to contribute and not wanting to join in anyway.
