It was Maisie's final day and she felt so excited she could scream. She couldn't wait to get back to her friends. This school was so much worse than hers.

She had PE and they were doing football again.

"Right I'm going to split Maisie and Erin up to make this more fair," Mr Chorley said.

They were both relieved. Maisie needed Erin on the opposite team for this plan to work.

The match kicked off and straight away Maisie was winding Erin up. She kept standing on her foot, elbowing her in the back, pushing her and just generally being annoying.

Erin didn't retaliate; she didn't want another incident like the other week.

Maisie kept it up the whole time. Erin was finding it increasingly frustrating and she wanted nothing more than to get her to stop.

Maisie had the ball and was dribbling up the pitch. Erin moved in, going in hard as she was so furious. As dramatically but realistically as she could, Maisie threw herself on the ground.

"Owww," she complained, holding her leg. Mr Chorley came jogging over.

"Erin that was a very unnecessary challenge," he said, sternly.

"I barely touched her!" Erin complained.

"I don't think that's quite true," Mr Chorley said, looking down at Maisie who was doing a very good job of faking extreme pain. She was holding her leg and had even managed to bring up some fake tears to make it even more realistic.

Mr Chorley crouched by her side, checking she was okay.

"Yeah. I'm fine," she winced, getting to her feet, "I might have to sit out for a sec."

She hobbled off the pitch and sat down, still faking the injury.

Erin was completely put off by this and her anger was getting greater and greater.

After a few minutes, Maisie told Mr Chorley that she thought she was ready to come on and she ran onto the pitch, ready to finish off the final stages of her plan.

There wasn't long left but Maisie didn't need long, she knew that Erin was very close to snapping.

She was soon passed the ball and turned, going purposefully for Erin, rather than the space that she'd typically go to.

She just sprinted quickly and Erin did the same, feeling an extreme rage at Maisie. She hated her. She hated that she was here. She hated the way she'd messed with her life.

Erin dived into get the ball and the pair battled. In the whole shuffle, Maisie trod purposefully hard on her toe.

Erin snapped and shoved her hard in the chest.

"What the fuck are you doing man!" she spat.

Usually Maisie would've fought back but this was exactly what she wanted.

Mr Chorley sprinted straight to them.

"I'm sorry. It was an accident," Maisie apologised. She was putting on her nicest tone, faking guilt and remorse when she actually felt none.

"Right Erin I think you should head inside. Your behaviour's been unacceptable," Mr Chorley said.

"She stood on my toe!"

"You were going for a tackle, accidents happen."

Erin wanted to scream and shout but instead she stormed inside, feeling the most intense anger that she'd ever felt.
