Training the next day was good fun and they all came inside dripping with sweat but pleased.

Unlike last camp which had been during February half term, this camp was during term time so the girls were expected to complete work.

Maisie was way too excitable and she was dreading having to sit down and crack on. The education officer Mark came in and introduced himself to the group.

He then set them off on their work, telling them to ask if they needed any help. Maisie couldn't focus and she soon dragged all her teammates off task.

"I can see we're going to have trouble with you," Mark laughed when Maisie set them all off into raucous laughter.

Time dragged by and Maisie was yet to pick up a pen.

"Come on girls let's just crack on," Mark said. None of the girls had done much and that was mostly down to Maisie distracting them.

"Can I go to the toilet?" she asked, wanting an excuse to get out of here.

"Yes but be quick and then come and do something."

"Yes sir," Maisie said, saluting him and making the others laugh.

She then set off into the corridor and decided to just head on a wander. She was completely in her own world and didn't even realise that she was lost until she bumped into Marie.

"Maisie?"

"Hiya."

"Aren't you supposed to be doing your work?"

"I'm going to the toilet."

"Well you're a bit lost. Come on, I'll walk you back."

"I don't want to do any work though," Maisie groaned.

"I'm afraid you have to."

Marie then began walking and Maisie followed, dragging her feet. It took some time to convince her but soon enough Marie dropped her back. The others had all cracked on in her absence and quite few of them had been allowed to head off as their work was completed.

"It's so boring though," Maisie groaned as Mark tried to get her to do some stuff.

"I know it's dull but the quicker you do it, the quicker you can leave."

It was now only Maisie, Liv, Samara and Erin left. Erin had purposefully been going slow as she didn't want to leave Maisie.

Liv and Samara weren't helping and they were pulling their friend off task.

"Right you two can head off now," Mark said to them. They'd basically finished and they were being no help in here.

"We'll see you later then," they said to their friend.

"Yeah. See you in a bit."

Maisie's mood had shifted from completely energetic to frustrated as she really didn't want to do anything.

"I don't get it," she huffed.

"I can try and help if you want?" Erin volunteered as she saw Mark wasn't being very successful.

Mark nodded and Erin pulled up a chair.

She began helping and she soon saw a side to Maisie that she hadn't seen before. She always seemed so confident but when it came to this she seemed small and unsure.

"I dunno. Sulfur dioxide?" she said.

"Yeah. Perfect," Erin smiled, pleased that she was getting it.
