Escaping her chaotic past, Katrina moves to Monaco to start a new life. With a single bag and a guitar, she sets on a brand new journey to reacquaint with herself and maybe find love along the way.
She was scrolling through her Instagram when she saw the latest post from Charles.
What the heck?
A wave of panic surged inside her as she realized that the post was confusing not just her, but their friends as well. She quickly dialed Charles' number, but it went straight to voicemail. After a couple of rings, he finally picked up.
"Charles, thank God you finally answered," she said, relieved.
"'Trina..." he started.
"What the heck is going on?" she interrupted.
"I can explain," he replied.
"Start explaining then... I'm so confused, Charles."
"I don't want to do this over the phone, can we at least wait until I get back to Monaco?"
"Charles, you can't just post that and expect me to wait for you to get back here to explain what you meant."
It had been almost a week since they went to Lumiere. Everything had been fine between them—she even drove him to the airport when he had to leave for Maranello a week ago. So, imagine her shock when he suddenly uploaded a photo of her with no context.
"I'll be back next week, Trina. Can you please just trust me when I say that I'll explain everything next week?"
"If that's what you wanted, you should've posted it next week, so you'd be here in person to explain."
"Trina, I'm really sorry for shocking you. I promise I'll explain once I get back. I just don't want to do it over the phone. You deserve better than that."
"Charles, I honestly don't understand what you're trying to say because, from where I stand, this is a simple question that should've been answered easily. If you want to talk in person, fine, but stop calling and messaging me. If you want to talk, you know where I'll be."
"Trina, please don't be like this—" He was cut off as she hung up.
She went to his account and started blocking him everywhere.

She knew she was being petty, but she just didn't get Charles. During the months she spent in Monaco, she learned that he could be persistent when he set his mind on something. She knew that if she didn't do this, he would keep calling her and trying to convince her to wait for his explanation—and she would eventually give in.
Not even an hour after blocking him, she started receiving messages from his friends asking her to unblock him.

You saw his post right? I asked him about it He said he'll explain but he wants me to wait for him to return from Maranello Max, that is still a week away. If he wasn't ready to explain, then maybe he shouldn't have posted that in the first place
Would it be okay to ask why you can't wait for a week? I don't mean this in a bad way okay? I just wanted to know

Tell him that if he's not yet ready to tell me why he posted that, I understand I won't force him to talk about it and wait until he's home I hope he'll also respect my decision of not talking to him until he explains everything to me.
