"What have you been up to while I was not here?" Charles asked, once they were back at his house. He stretched out on the couch, pulling Katrina down beside him.
"The kids kept me well entertained," Katrina said with a smile. "We had movie marathons whenever they were home from training. Other than that, I was with Mavi. We spent a lot of time in the studio, playing around with some ideas."
Charles's eyes brightened. "Are you releasing new songs?" he asked, his voice full of hope.
Katrina smiled softly, brushing a lock of hair behind her ear. "I don't want to feel pressured into releasing new music right now. I just want to enjoy music again, for the sake of loving it. If I end up releasing anything in the future, you'll be the first to know."
Charles beamed at her, his heart swelling with pride. "I'm so happy for you, love. I'm so proud of you."
Katrina leaned in and gave him a soft kiss on the cheek. "Thank you. That means a lot."
