As the sky slowly turns night, Sokani finds herself sitting on a grey electricity box to the side of Gio's house, waiting for his return. The street is compressed with shadowly stillness. She can practically hear the silence pressing in around her. Sending an eerie chill down her spine. Her neighborhood is never this quiet no matter what time of day, so this is strange to her.

The temperature is also dropping by the second, leaving the cold cuts through her clothes and settles into her bones, making her feel as if she's wearing shorts instead of her thick coat. She feels the moisture evaporating from her skin, causing it to be tight and dry. She has the urge to rub vaseline all over her face, but her jug is in her school bag at this time. She starts to cuss herself out in her head as her teeth tumble.

She shifts her attention down to her outfit and purses her lips together. She wraps her arms around herself, using her coat sleeves as a barrier to block herself from the world. She deeply regrets her choice to wear a 'Shein' romper in thirty-degree Fahrenheit conditions. The cold isn't the only thing nagging at her; she starts to feel self-conscious, her insecurity growing at the second.

Through her coat pocket, she feels a vibration coming from her phone. She has her notifications muted from all her social media, so she knows it must be a text. She quickly pulls it out and unlocks it with face identification. A message from Court appears on her lock screen, letting her know that it's okay for Gio to come. She texted her after Gio went inside the small house, a few minutes ago, to retrieve the rest of his stuff. As she reads the message, a sense of relief washes over her. She didn't want to be faced with telling him he couldn't come over, feeling like it would be awkward. She tucks her phone back into the security of her pocket with a toothless smile on her face.

She's incredibly grateful she can even be outside today. The previous night was too of a close call; she was on the verge of getting in serious trouble. Luckily, her mom never realized that Sokani nor her sister was high due to being exhausted, she was mainly upset about the mess they made in the kitchen and the fact that they charged her card. Sokani cleaned their mess up, sent her mom a payment through 'Cash App' for the cookies, and was able to sleep her high off.

"I know you wanna see. I know you wanna be. In my B.E.D. Grinding slowly." Sokani randomly starts singing "B.E.D" by Jacquees to herself. Rolling her hips a little as she sings the last part. She has been singing it all daylong ever since Sariyah played it while getting ready this morning. "I wish I can get this fucking song out my head." She mumbles, dragging on the word head.

"You know what? Imma play it now." She says to herself lowly, fetching her phone out her pocket. Her shivering makes it much harder to grab. She swipes up on her home screen to reveal the search bar. She types in 'Musi' and clicks on the orange app. She searches for the song while sliding on her airpods.
