✰ ✰ ✰It's now the next day and Sokani decided to walk to her local park to take her mind off of the Jayla situation. It's almost like she cannot go a second without someone bombarding her phone and it's stressing her out. Her booking has gotten slower and she loss some followers. It's like a slap to the face because she built her business from the ground up. Seeing how it's falling apart due to some weird client really hurts.
On the way to the "Pine brooks" park, a small community park in her neighborhood that is outdated. She stopped at the gas station to buy some of her favorite snacks to hopefully make her day better. She now has a black plastic bag full of stuff. She spent twenty dollars on food, she can't help it though—she loves food.
She even put on a cute outfit just to go to the boring ole park. She felt like that will also help because feeling cute makes her feel a million times better. She didn't try to do to much. She's just wearing a red hardy jumpsuit with a black north face coat over it since it's pretty cold outside.
As she walks to the grey bleachers on the side of the basketball court, not paying any attention to her surroundings—due to a beautiful monarch butterfly in the distance. A white basketball flies toward her and smacks her dead in the middle of her head which brings her back to reality.
Sokani immediately places her hand at the top of her head and starts rubbing the spot. She starts to curse them out in her head because she wouldn't dare say it out loud. Her head now has a lingering pain, but it doesn't hurt too much. She just tries to play it off like nothing happened while blocking out the snickering in the background.
"Damn nigga, you finna kill ha." She hears an unfamiliar deep voice coming from beside her. "You good Kani?"
Sokani slowly turns her head while scrunching her face up confused on how they know her name. Her face relaxes once she sees Gio sitting to the side of her with a blunt in his hand. He's voice was much deeper and more raspy than usual—hence the reason why she didn't know who it was. They lock eye contact which made Sokani stomach tingle a little. "Y-yeah I'm good, thank you." She replies, sending him a half hearted smile before plopping down next to him.
"Do you smoke?" He mumbles, his soothing voice was soft, not going above a whisper. He begin to relights his blunt with a red lighter and taking a long hit.
"Rarely...I'll take a hit though!" She buzzs with a toothless smile on her face. She grabs the fat blunt, takes a quick hit, and passes it back.
They take turns hitting the blunt a couple more times—not really talking to each other. It wasn't awkward like you would think though. The silence was actually pleasant. Her experience at the park so far is pleasant minus getting hit in the head. The wind is blowing a bit, the kids at the court are playing basketball not paying attention to them, she's not cold thanks to her coat. She even felt herself relaxing a bit—totally forgets about the whole Jayla situation.
