✰ ✰ ✰Memories sinkin', deep in, leakin' in my mine
All of the time tried to forget you
Thought I could get you to be mineSokani slowly descends down the school stairs, trailing behind a parade of students while listening to "My mine" by Jhene Aiko. They're all cramped together like peas in a can from one brown brick wall to the other. The staircase is already narrow, only allowing space for two people to walk next to each other comfortably. Three people is like sitting in the middle seat of a car, so imagine five people being forced to stand next to each other.
Sokani sighs heavily while shifting her weight to her other leg, waiting impatiently on one steps closer to the top. She looks over a boy in front of her who has a bookbag big enough to fit a kid in, looking at the standstill at the bottom of the stairs. It's reminding her of Rolling Loud due crowd of people just standing there. She never been to Rolling Loud, but she has seen plenty of videos, mainly due to her sister being a huge Playboi Carti fan.
As she has a full conversation with herself in her head, she feels someone tapping on shoulder. The taps was more like knocks, as if her shoulder was some kind of door. She snaps her head back, annoyance present on her face expression. Her full eyebrows are furrowed together and she slight popped her neck out. She quickly caught on and relaxed her face, not wanting to seem rude.
Her eyes falls on this one boy who she assumed is freshman based on his style and the fuzzy ski mask he has on his face. He has a mischievous glint in his eyes as well. Her shoulders drops and her arms plops down to her sides. She has a feeling he's about to troll.
"Yo my fren wanna get put on with chu." She hears the boy say, his voice carrying a very strong atlanta accent. Sokani descends down a couple of steps before looking in his direction. Deep down she's hoping it's Gio, especially after what almost happened the previous night at the creek, but she knows it isn't him.
Her eyes lands on the boy who is standing awkwardly to the side with his arms crossed. He has on a black hoodie with black sweatpants, and his afro is sticking straight in the air like he has a mohawk. He's also shorter than her even though he is standing on a step higher. Sokani isn't even the tallest, she's five-six, so the boy must be around five-one. He has a frown present on his face and is giving his friend a side eye.
Sokani feels bad for him because he obviously didn't want his friend coming up to her. She drifts her gaze back over at the first boy with her lips pressed together. "I'm eighteen." She lies before shifting her attention to all the people in front of her. She steps down a couple more steps, finally being closer to the bottom.
