Forever and Always [Kazutora x Reader]

01: Pet Shop

The thunders echoed throughout the city. As the clouds continued to weep, you were drenched in water.

Your boyfriend, Sei, was supposed to pick you up at work today but he didn't show up, he must've forgotten again.

You ran on the sidewalk, desperate to find a place to stay for a while. Every shop nearby was closed, except for one. It was a pet shop.

In a rush, you went inside. Somebody approached you, "Hey, I just mopped the floor..."

It was a black-haired guy with blonde highlights, you quickly apologized to the employee.

"I'm sorry! I just wanted to find a place to-" As you rambled on your excuse, you saw him smile in amusement.

"Hey, I'm just kidding. It's alright, please come in. I'll get you a chair and a towel."

He handed you a clean towel to dry yourself with, "Thank you uhm-" "Kazutora Hanemiya. You can just call me Kazutora" He smiled at you.

"Thank you, Kazutora. I'm Y/n L/n, just call me Y/n for short"

He asked you what you were doing outside in the first place. You explained to him that your boyfriend was supposed to pick you up but must've forgotten to do so.

"I mean, it's just upsetting that out of all the things he has to forget, it's this one! I just want to be home and drink my favorite chocolate milk..." You ranted, and it continued for an hour or so.

While you guys conversed with one another, he introduced the pets in the shop. They were so adorable! There were birds, fishies, puppies, and cats! Among the cats, a particular cat caught your eye. It was a black cat. He looks really cute. You gently carried him and touched his fur.

"I see you've taken a liking to Peke J." Kazutora said, he looks happy. "He's my boss' pet. Peke J. helps me around the shop, although he doesn't really clean anything, he's a nice companion."

"That's his name? How cute!" You giggled. You continued to play and observe the animals while ranting to Kazutora.

The two of you noticed the time and you apologized for yapping a lot, "You must've been so bored listening to me talk. Haha, sorry..." you sheepishly apologized and he smiled at you, assuring you that it was fine.

"It's okay, we rarely get lively customers like you anyways. I can drive you home as soon as I close the shop if you want, my car is parked outside." He kindly offered but he was interrupted when you two heard the door open.

It was a black haired man, "I'm back, Kazutora." He said, placing his umbrella at the side of the door.

Kazutora smiled and went to get him a clean towel too. "Oh, who's this?" He asked, finally noticing me.

"That's Y/n, she's staying here for a while to wait for the storm to pass. By the way this is my boss."

"I see. Hello Y/n, I'm Chifuyu Matsuno. Nice to meet you." Chifuyu greeted and you introduced yourself properly too.

He said you can just call him Chifuyu.

Your phone started to ring so you picked it up, it was Sei. He told you he had fallen asleep and apologized, he's now on his way to pick you up. You gave him the address of the pet shop.

"Kazutora, my ride's on his way now. Thanks for the offer though." You smiled and bowed politely.

"Is that so? Alright. I'll finish cleaning up. By the way... if you don't mind... I hope you can come visit the shop again. The cats seem to love you, especially Peke J." He laughed then looked at you, waiting for your response.

Chifuyu chuckled and looked at Kazutora, "Offering a ride to a stranger you just met huh?" He teased, we both laughed together while Kazutora looked annoyed by his joke.

"Well, I can try! The company I work for is near here anyways", Kazutora seemed to be glad to hear your answer.

Soon, Sei arrived and drove you back home to your apartment.

"I'm sorry babe, I fell asleep", Sei pouted and looked at you with puppy eyes. You couldn't resist his cuteness and forgave him.

"Silly. Fine, I forgive you. But there won't be any second chances next time! If you forget me again, I won't give you kisses anymore." You teased.

"Eh? I promise to never forget you again. I love you, Y/n!!!" He excitedly said.

That's what you love the most about Sei. He's so energetic and clingy.

Sei was gonna sleep at your place for tonight. As the two of you laid down in bed, you just stared at the ceiling while he hugged you. He soon fell asleep, but for some reason, you can't.

You can't shake this feeling that something bad is about to happen... it makes you feel uneasy.

But then... you remembered Peke J. and the cute employee too. It would be nice to bring Sei to see the pets at the shop some time. Maybe next week.

After thinking for a while, you fell asleep.
