Forever and Always [Kazutora x Reader]

09: A Bitter Goodbye

It was a few days ago since Sei stood you up on the expensive romantic date you had reserved just for the two of you. Even after Kazutora consoled you, you still felt upset. 

You didn't talk or answer Sei's calls for days. You only went to work and home. You didn't go out with any of your friends, not even Kazutora. 

Here you are lying again in your bed, still crying about Sei. "He's going to leave me... I know it" You whined, crying even more. 

You stopped screaming on your pillow after hearing your phone ring, "Huh?" 

You grabbed your phone and saw that it was Sei. You contemplated whether you should answer it or not. You decided to do answer it, you couldn't avoid nor ignore him forever... 

"H-hi?" You said, trying to hide the fact that you were crying. 

"Y/n! I'm sorry. I'm on my way there, okay?" "... okay." 

You hung up. 

Looking through your closet, you find a casual outfit to wear. You looked further in search of something. Finally finding it, you were satisfied and wore it around your neck. It was the necklace he gave you on Valentine's Day, hoping this would cheer up the both of you. 

You went to your vanity and started fixing yourself up. You put on some light makeup to cover the fact of your endless crying. If he were to break up with you, you wanted to look pretty while crying. 

Anyways, after getting ready, you sat on your bed again and used your phone to wait for Sei.

Shortly after, you heard a knock. "Y/n, it's me Sei!" 

You got up from your bed and walked to the living room to open up the door, "Hey" you said, letting him in. 

You two sat at the sofa, it was a bit awkward. "I'm sorry, you know what's my situation with mom and work lately"

... You didn't know if you were being overdramatic. You didn't even know what or who was the problem anymore. 

"Sei, I'm sorry. I don't want to be selfish but... you never spend time with me anymore. I was really looking forward to that date. It was expensive too, you know?" 

He kept quiet and looked at you, he looked at you with concerned after hearing your disappointed statement. "Y/n, I'm sorry..."

You really feel upset so you decided to talk to him about it to lessen the burden you're feeling.

"I do a lot of things for you Seiji. I always give, give, give! And yet you just keep taking me for granted. I won't have enough patience to wait for you everytime!" You said, raising your voice a bit. 

He furrows his eyebrows, "I already said I'm sorry. I get that you're upset, I know that but you aren't trying to understand my situation. It's already hard having a mother to take care of, why do you have to add to my problems?" 

Your heart ached after hearing his response. 

He continued to speak, raising his voice as well. "You're always making plans while I try to make time for you, but when I fail to come on that stupid date you're going to blame me for everything now!" 

You've had enough. You yelled back, "Is it my fault now? Why agree to come when you know you aren't going to show up! Stop playing me Sei!" 

As the two of you argued with each other, it ended when Sei stood up and sighed. He looks really upset, "Y/n this isn't working."

...

There it is. The phrase you've been fearing to hear the most, he has finally said it. 

You looked at him with a surprised expression. "Let's... break up" 

Everything around you stopped. At that moment, it felt like your whole world came crashing down. You chuckled bitterly, looking down at the floor. 

"I knew it would come to this..." You muttered, he looks guilty. 

"I'm sorry Y/n, I really am. I don't want to hurt you anymore. I think this is for the best of us, you deserve someone better." 

Forming a fist, you stood up and yelled, "I don't want anyone else! I want you Sei, why can't you see that?" 

A frown formed on his lips, looking at you with his lonely eyes. 

In the end, he had left. He decided that parting ways was the best option to stop hurting one another. You knew he was hurting too but... you were selfish enough to not want him to be free. 

He wants to focus on himself and his family first, maybe you should do the same as well. 

You remained frozen on the living room, tears streaming down your cheeks. You slowly dragged yourself back to your room and laid down on your bed, curling up like a ball. Hugging yourself you whispered something. 

"I'm lonely... again."
