"Woah.. Jiung-hyung, are you like rich?" Jongseob gasped from amazement because of the architecture and interior designing of Jiung 's house

Daeun just stood at the front door, mouth open wide.

"Something like that." Jiung said before grabbing Daeun's wrist to get her away from the door, so that he could close it.

Daeun shook herself out of her trance before turning to Jiung, "So, where's this room that you were talking about on the phone?" She raised an eyebrow, smiling.

"Right this way, milady." Jiung jokingly bowed and led the way to his room. Daeun giggled, following him, leaving Jongseob in the entrance room.

"Am I seriously the third wheel already?" He said to himself before following the two of them.

"Jiung, where's the bathroom?" Daeun asked.

"Oh, it's right across the hall." Jiung softly smiled as the girl thanked him, and went to the bathroom.

That's when Jongseob spoke.

"Choi Jiung. Do you like my sister?"

Jiung stopped moving for a moment, as if he was stunned. Once he fully processed Jongseob's words, he replied.

"Yes." He smiled, thinking of Daeun, "I like her a lot."

The younger boy was quite shocked, "I didn't think you'd admit it that easily... But how and when did you start liking her?" Jongseob point a finger at him, furrowing his eyebrows while attempting to be intimidating.

Then, the toilet flushed and the sink started running, indicating that Daeun would be out of the washroom soon.

"I'll tell you later, but don't tell her, please."

Jongseob nodded slightly, "Don't worry, I'll be your best wingman."

Jiung smiled at his words. He was happy to know that both his crush, and her brother were kind people.

Then, Daeun walked through the door, smiling at the two boys.

"Are you guys up for a horror movie marathon?"

"Remind me why we're doing this again?" Jiung sighed.

"Blame Da- AHHHHH!"

Daeun laughed at her brother's shrieking, "HAHA it wasn't even scar-!" The girl cut herself off, covering her eyes with her hands as another jumpscare popped up on the  screen.

Jongseob had a good laugh on his sister's karma, before standing up.

"Wait, I'm gonna refill on popcorn." The boy winked at Jiung, signing that it was time for him to make a move on Daeun.

The orange-haired boy stuttered before slowly placing his arm around Daeun, "Soooo... Horror movies."

"I hate them so, so, so much! But I thought that it would be good to face my fear." Daeun looked at Jiung and smiled, sending millions of butterflies flying throughout his stomach. But she had no idea.

Just then, they both turned their heads to Jongseob after hearing him yelling. It sounded like he was on the phone.

"Stay away from her! Don't you dare even think about laying a single finger on my sister!" Jongseob snarled.

Daeun sighed, knowing exactly who he was yelling at. She stood up, walking towards him and telling him to give her the phone.

He obeyed, and Daeun spoke, "One day, you'll both get caught, I guarantee you that."

Her mother chuckled, "Did you forget, no one will believe bratty little children."

"Oh, go to hell." Daeun cursed before hanging up the phone, Jongseob looked really sad.

"Seob, what's wrong?" Daeun asked.

"She keeps saying that they'll find a way to take custody of me. And she say's that they're going to get you arrested for 'child abduction' even though they're the ones who left the both of us!"

"We'll find a way through this, I promise." Daeun embraced her brother. Then, Jiung entered the kitchen.

"I can help. My fath-..." Jiung trailed off, thinking of what to say instead of exposing himself, "I have connections with s-tier lawyers." He softly smiled at the both of them, "So... What happened?"

"Seojun what the hell?"

Daeun walked inside the room, heartbroken by what she just witnessed.

It was her own boyfriend, making out with some random popular girl.

He pulled away, looking annoyed, "What? You really though you were important to me? It was just for our parents. Their business deal is over, and so are we. So go away." And he continued practically eating the mistress's lips away.

Daeun stormed over to them both, slapping her now ex-boyfriend on the cheek, before flipping both him, and the girl off. She then left and slammed the door behind her.

She couldn't tolerate the pain anymore, so she rushed home. Not worrying in the slightest about missing school. She didn't want anyone to see her cry.

Once she arrived, Daeun already thought it was weird that her parents' cars were not parked in the driveway, since they both worked from home. But she found it especially strange when none of their stuff was in their room when she went to go find them.

"What the heck..." Daeun quickly went right back outside and got on her bike, forgetting to put on her helmet. She went to go pick Jongseob up from school.

They both needed to know what happened. Together.
