Daeun's eyes widened by what Jiung said.

'Maybe this is his plan...' She thought to herself before remembering what he had said the night before. So, she decided to play along.

Jiung approached the two, glaring at Seojun. But Seojun looked confused.

"What do you mean? That's your girlfriend? That slut?"

Jiung's anger levels went through the roof when that sentence exited Seojun's mouth.

"Aren't you the one who cheated on her? And if you even dare to say anything bad about her again, especially near me, i'll make sure that you regret ever existing." He stood in front of Daeun, shielding her from the nasty guy before her.

"She told you about that? What else did she say?" Seojun scoffed, appalled at the fact that Daeun talked about their old relationship to "that guy".

Jiung retorted, "She didn't have to say very much, given the fact that anyone can tell what sorry excuse of a person you are. Let alone boyfriend!" He continued, "Your lack of decency isn't even enough to reach subhuman level."

Seojun was quite shocked by Jiung's words, but didn't let it show, "Whatever. You better watch your back, Choi." Seojun walked away, not forgetting to shove into Jiung's shoulders on the way to his seat.

Jiung's aggressive gaze faltered as he turned around to Daeun, "Are you okay? He really crossed the line."

Daeun couldn't say much in the moment due to the amount of shock she just faced, "Yeah, i'm fine. Thanks for everything."

"Of course. Also, I'll talk about the girlfriend thing when we get home, I promise." Jiung explained, "But please just play along for now."

Daeun nodded, thanking him again, before resting her head on her desk.

She needed just a bit of peace before class started.

Jongseob had some after school classes to attend, so he wasn't with Jiung and Daeun when they went home.

They both sat on the couch, scrolling on their phones in silence.

That's when Jiung stumbled upon a snickerdoodle recipe.

He looked over at Daeun.

"D-do you want to make some cookies?"

Daeun smiled, "Sure."

"Choi Jiung! Stop that!"

Jiung just giggled at the girl's outburst.

Instead of making the cookie dough, Jiung was chasing Daeun around the kitchen island with flour in his hands.

The kitchen was just filled with the two's giggles and laughter.

Then, Daeun's phone started ringing. Her ringtone was '3D' by Jungkook, so Jiung started dancing to it.

Daeun answered the phone to hear Jongseob talking.

He was informing her that he was on the way home.

While she was on the phone with her brother, Jiung took the initiative of finishing the cookie dough and placing the dough balls on a baking tray.

Daeun was finished with her phone call, and saw that Jiung was about to put the cookies in the oven.

"Oh, you finished that fast?" She walked behind him.

"Yeah, I figured that I should be of some use." Jiung chuckled slightly, sitting against the cabinets.

Daeun frowned at his sentence, sitting next to him, "Did that sentence have a double meaning perhaps?" She asked.

Jiung nodded, leaning his head on Daeun's shoulder. She unintentionally smiled, her face turning red as she heard Jiung's soft breaths in her ear. She could feel his body moving up and down due to his breathing. It sent chills down her spine.

The girl had no clue on what to say, so the two just shared a moment of silence.

"Daeun?" Jiung called out.

"Yes?" She replied.

He looked up at her.

"You're really pretty."

Daeun blushed at his comment, "R-really?"

"Mhm." Jiung said before getting his head off of the girl's shoulder.

He looked at her in the eyes, staring at her. Until, he started leaning in closer.

And closer.

Daeun leaned in too.

Their lips were almost touching when the front door opened.

"I'm back guys!"

That night was a little awkward for the two who almost shared a kiss.

But in the end, Daeun, Jongseob, and Jiung at the cookies happily before watching a movie.

Daeun couldn't knock the moment out of her head, so she decided to tell the boys that she was going to sleep. She wish them a "goodnight" before heading into her room.

Closing the door, she plopped onto her bed.

She wished to sleep off the feeling that she felt in the kitchen that evening.

And eventually, she drifted off to sleep.

"Jiung?"

Jiung went to school early and texted Daeun to meet him inside an empty classroom. He had to tell her something.

She finally saw him standing outside the classroom. She smiled.

Jiung immediately grabbed her wrist and pulled her inside the classroom. After he closed the door, pinning her to the wall.

"J-Jiung... what are you doing?"

"No, what are you doing to me? I've never felt like this about anyone before."

"What are you talking about?" Daeun was confused by Jiung's words.

"I love you, Kim Daeun."

Daeun's heart started beating faster. But she was shocked.

"C-can I kiss you?" He looked at her intently.

Daeun finally nodded, allowing Jiung to press his soft lips onto hers.

Then, Daeun woke up.

It was all just a dream.
