After he was completely gone, O/C came back out from her hiding place.  Witnessing Frollo's angry outbursts was nothing new to her.  She had seen plenty of them growing up for the silliest reasons.  Phoebus also came out at the same exact time.

"We have to find the Court of Miracles, before daybreak.  If Frollo gets there first...are you coming with me?"

"I am!" O/C immediately replied.

"I can't," Quasimodo spoke sadly, shaking his head.

"I thought you were Emerald's friend," he scolded him.

"My master.  I can't disobey him again," Quasimodo said.

"He stood up for you.  You both got a funny way of showing gratitude," he told him and paused, while they both turned away from him.

"Well, we're not going to sit by and watch Frollo massacre innocent people.  You do what you think is right."  He then turned and left with O/C who continued to stare back and her brother.

After they were completely gone, Quasimodo had a talk with his imaginary gargoyle friends, while starting to have second thoughts.  He even found himself grabbing his coat.

"I must be out of my mind!" he said to himself as he began to catch up with his twin sister and Phoebus.

They were exiting the cathedral.  No sooner when they stepped outside, Quasimodo hopped in front of them.

"Phoebus!  O/C!" they both loudly gasped in surprise. "Shh!  I'm coming with you!"

"I'm glad you changed your mind," he remarked.

"I'm not doing it for you.  I'm doing it for them," Quasimodo loudly whispered, referring to O/C and Emerald.

"You know where he is?" she chimed in.

"No, but he said this would help us find him," he pulled out the talisman and handed it to Phoebus.

"Good, good, good!   Ahhh.  Great!" he exclaimed, while examining it as if he knew what it already was. "What is it?"

"It's a talisman," Quasimodo told him.  "But we don't know what it means."

"Hmmm.  Must be some sort of code.  Maybe it's Arabic.  No, no, it's not Arabic.  Maybe it's ancient Greek..." Phoebus guessed.

"When you wear this woven band, you hold the city in your hand," Quasimodo whispered to himself.

"What?" Phoebus asked, feeling confused.

"It's the city!" Quasimodo informed him.

"What are you talking about?" he asked, feeling even more confused.
