Somehow, it's already the morning after the party and I still can't get Gwen out of my head.

It's also a Sunday which means that I can sleep in, but for some reason, I woke up at the crack of dawn with my thoughts centred on one person, Gwen.

Even in sleep, I can't escape her. It's strange since I don't think I've ever felt this way about someone. She consumes my thoughts 24/7 and I don't mind it at all.

Last night was a dream. Spending time with Gwen was the most fun I've had in a while. Excluding the manhandling of course. Which reminds me, I should probably go check on her.

I get out of bed and quickly throw on a sweatshirt with some jeans. I glance at the clock above my small kitchenette and notice it's only six o'clock.

Gwen is most likely still asleep.

I sigh and decide to make my bed and drink a cup of coffee as a way to pass the time.

One of the perks of St. Aldridge is that each student gets a small kitchenette along with the room.

It only consists of a small kitchen table, a kettle and a mini fridge, which is already more than what a normal live-in boarding school would offer. It's also why our school is one of the top schools in America. Even so, our school has very strict requirements which is why it's so hard to get into.

As soon as I empty my coffee cup I can't take it anymore.

I need to know if Gwen is okay.

I quickly rinse off my coffee cup, before leaving my dorm.

The hallway is quiet as I make my way to the girls' dorm rooms on the other side of the building.

Sometimes students go home to their families for the weekend and then you get those who choose to stay at the school. I am part of the latter since I have no desire to see my father more than necessary. Not that he is home most of the time, anyway.

I only go home every so often to visit my mother. She is the only one I care about seeing, ever since my father cheated on my mother just over two years ago.

I remember that dreadful night like it was yesterday. I wanted to surprise my father since my mother was out of town on a business meeting one weekend, only to stumble on my father with his mouth on another woman.

My father came clean to my mother the night she returned from her business trip and our family dynamic has been rocky ever since. My mother decided to stay with my father for my sake, but I can't help but think that she made a mistake. I wished she would have left his sorry ass. Unfortunately, my mother has always been one for second chances.

The sound of a door opening brings me out of my thoughts. I glance up and see Alastor walking out of Gwen's dorm. He doesn't look happy at all. Alastor's gaze catches mine and he saunters up to me.
