The following week our class president marketing campaign begins, which also happens to be one of my favourite parts of the class president campaigns each year.
Each year, we get to see some of the most creative posters from our peers running for class president and I can't help but be fascinated each time.
And now, this year it's finally my time to shine.
The posters are a crucial part of the class president campaign as it's one of the most effective ways to convince people to vote for you, as proven by last year's numbers.
Hailee Gomez was one of our most creative students and her exceptional poster secured her spot in the top 2 last year when she ran for class president. I plan to follow her example and blow the school away with my poster.
I got up early this morning to get a head start on putting up my class president posters and an hour later, I've managed to cover most of the school. School only starts in fifteen minutes, so it gives me plenty of time to get to my first class of the day.
A few hours later, I'm on my way to the lunchroom when something on the notice board catches my eye.
With me still having a few minutes of break left, I walk up to the notice board.
I roll my eyes as I spot Theo's poster.
Of course he had to put his face on his poster.
His abnormally gorgeous face for that matter. I don't know how or when this picture of him was taken, but he clearly had the money for a spectacular photographer. Or maybe in this case it's the model that sets off a certain type of feeling of butterflies in my stomach.
Ugh, this is unfair!
How am I supposed to compete with a poster that makes girls drop at their feet? Theo clearly had a tactic in mind when making his poster.
I'm so distracted by his poster that I almost don't notice the paper peeking out underneath.
A strange feeling dawns on me and I glance down either side of the hallway.
That's when it hits me.
I've passed this hall before when I put up my class president poster. I walk further along the hall and notice more and more posters of Theo. Not only that but seemingly in places I remember putting my posters.
I frown.
Where are all my posters?
I walk up to the notice board again.
All that I see is Theo's class president poster. Not mine, only his and I know for a fact that I put my poster on the notice board. I silently curse myself. I got so distracted by his poster that I didn't even bother to check if mine was there too.I can already feel fire coursing through my veins. I rip his poster off the notice board and see mine underneath. I can't believe he did this!
