Julia groaned when she felt someone take her arm and pull her from sleep, "What?"
"Sorry to wake you, darling, but Elliot Oswald was here. I wanted to let you sleep but Clay wants you at the meeting because of what you saw," Jax spoke softly, as if trying not to startle her.
Julia opened her eyes to see she was still in Jax's room, "Shit, I didn't mean to fall asleep here."
"It's ok. I didn't mind. I let you have the bed in case you were worried about it," he pushed her hair out of her face.
"You should've just woken my ass up or pushed me off the bed," Julia sat up.
Jax laughed and tugged her to stand up, "Nah, I didn't wanna die. Come on. Can't keep people waiting."
"Ugh, fine, but I'm borrowing a shirt. This one has blood on it," Julia could see some of Tristen's blood had soaked into the fabric.
"Fine by me," Jax smirked.
"Shut up and get out."
Jax held his hands up in surrender and backed out of the room, waiting a couple minutes until Julia came out wearing her jeans and one of his shirts. He wouldn't say it out loud, but he thought it looked good on her. It gave him too many fantasies about a nice house, about waking up every morning to this same view, about how Julia might look holding Abel.
"You gonna stand there all fucking day after rushing me to get up? Come on," Julia shoved him forward.
Julia walked into the club meeting room after Jax, closing the door behind her before moving to stand in her usual place behind Vince and Jax. She patted her uncle's shoulder and he just nodded at her in acknowledgement. She could see that he knew what had happened at the carnival but with one shake of her head, she told him she didn't want to talk about it anymore.
Tig crossed his arms, already seeming annoyed with the situation, "We got a 200k deficit hanging over our heads. Do we really, really wanna be out there playing some pro bono Lone Ranger?"
Jax glared at him, "Guy raped a 13 year old!"
"Thirteen!"
"I get it. I just don't like putting my ass on the line for some outsider."
"You don't have to like it, Tig. Just do what you're told. Because I know if that were your fucking kid, you'd already be out there kicking everyone's ass until you found the guy who did it," Julia said, leaning forward with her hands on the back of Jax's chair.
"I get that, but Oswald doesn't give a shit about SAMCRO."
Clay looked up, "You know, people get jammed up in this town, they don't go to the cops. They come to us."
Chibs nodded in agreement, "That's right. Us."
"And that means something to me. I don't know. Maybe I got something to prove with this guy. You know, that's my shit. So, anybody wants to pass on this-"
Everyone protested, giving their support. Nobody here likes a rapist, especially not when it was a kid. They didn't want someone like that coming into their town and thinking they could just do what they wanted and get away without consequences.
"Clay, I'm on this with you guys," Julia stared at the older male.
Clay stared thoughtfully at her for a moment. It wouldn't be dangerous for her to at least question people. And he knew she was gonna do it no matter what he said.
Clay nodded, "I figured. Make sure Eli keeps us in the loop with how the cops are handling it. I don't want any surprises. So what do we do now?"
"We saw a couple guys sporting Aryan ink," Jax reported, "Not sure if they were Darby's guys."
