Chapter 38: Under the Hat, Part III
Blake was amazed by Y/N's skills and training. It was like he was a different person under that bat suit. Sydney noticed the feline and smiled, her curiosity piqued.
"Word of advice, you might want to go back to your dorm," Sydney said to the faunus, sparking her curiosity about why she was being asked to leave.
"I need to speak to Y/N, though," Blake replied, getting a little irritated.
A sigh escaped from Sydney's mouth as she looked at Blake. "Listen, Y/N is... stubborn. Right now, I advise you to go back. When he finds you in his cave, he won't be happy. Trust me."
Blake, annoyed, was about to say something else when her scroll rang—it was Yang, probably wondering where she was. Blake glanced at Sydney, who was back at her computer, working diligently. Without a word, Blake turned and walked out, with Thancred assisting her with a kind smile. As she walked up the stairs, she looked back and saw Y/N's assistant working, the sound of typing echoing through the cave.
She arrived at the door leading to Y/N's room. As she stepped out, Thancred smiled at her, preparing to leave her to go back to her dorm, but he paused, realizing he had one more thing to say.
"Miss Belladonna, when you leave tonight on your scheming adventure," Thancred began, causing Blake to raise an eyebrow.
"Leave?" Blake questioned.
"Yes, leave. Trust me, this fight is far from over. When you leave, I advise you or your teammates to go to the CCTV tower and find a news article about an incident from ten years ago in Crime Alley."
"Wait... isn't that—" Before Blake could complete her sentence, her scroll rang again.
"Take care, Miss Belladonna," Thancred said, closing the door to the cave.
Blake was confused about why Thancred wanted her to find an old news article, but she couldn't think about that right now; she needed to get back to her dorm. As she exited Y/N's dorm, she noticed an individual walking past her—it was Jervis, a student of Beacon.
"Oh, hello, Miss Belladonna," he said, making the feline smile weakly.
"Um, hello..." Blake said, walking past him.
"Um, Miss Belladonna!" Jervis yelled out, causing her to turn around and see him approaching. "I must ask you something," he said, making her nod in question.
"How much do you know about Miss Velvet?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Um, not much. I hardly talk to anybody here at the school, except my team," Blake said, turning around.
"Oh, I see, I see... well, no fear. I'll introduce myself to her tomorrow," he said, turning and walking away.
Blake had an odd feeling about him that wasn't right, but she ignored it and walked in the opposite direction toward her dorm. As soon as she arrived at her door and turned the knob, she saw her teammates dressed and battle-ready for something, and Blake was confused.
"What are you girls doing?" Blake asked, seeing them look at each other and smile.
"Oh, we're going to stop the White Fang, Blake. Yang was trying to contact you, but you wouldn't answer," Ruby said with a wide smile, confusing Blake.
"Blake, we know you've been holding it in ever since that night, itching to run off and take care of business, right?" Yang said. "But come on, we've been through crazy things lately since enrolling in this school. We've faced a crazy student—"
