'Alessia Cadieux, fashion designer of the Cadieux group'.

That was how she was known in the family. At least, the family she had left. To everyone else, she was the worst of the Cadieux family.

Since her messy breakup from her ex, Alessia was known for having a bad reputation. Her name and pictures were in every tabloid imaginable, and not for the good either.

From when she was a young girl, Alessia was always painted to be the 'sweet' one. It wasn't that her sister Elizabeth wasn't sweet, but she was certainly more rebellious than Alessia back when.

That's why it shocked her family to see the news in the headlines that she was going through a divorce at such a young age, and with that lead to her going a little wild and partying almost every night. It lead to many a one night stand and exposed secrets that nearly ruined everything.

The following mornings, all that would be in the headlines was what she had been up to the previous night, and tabloids questioning whether her heart and soul was in her work, or if she just enjoyed the lifestyle that could come with it.

Her ex, Joel, he made her out to be something that she was not. Even now, Alessia doesn't like to talk about it because the mere thought would send her into a downward spiral.

There was false news going about for months, even years, about the way that she had treated him, or how she had been whilst they were together. In reality, it was the opposite way about.

It took a long time for Alessia to come out of that hole and sometimes, she found herself still looking up articles from that time.

Her reputation nearly ruined the company but slowly they were building themselves back up again. Alessia had taken a back step in it all, having once been Co-CEO with her sister, and instead she stays behind the scenes, and out of the cameras by designing next seasons collection and collaborations.

It was fair to say that Elizabeth and her sister went through their rough patches every now and again, and Alessia, she just put up with it as she knew that it was Elizabeth that helped them get back on their feet again. Thankfully for them, they were a big enough company and could keep themselves steady for a good while.

With all that in the past for now, Alessia had one thing to focus on.

Tonight was a big night.

At least for Alessia it was.

Tonight was the night that she was going to be in the limelight, and this time it was for something good.

Elizabeth couldn't make tonight's gala due to her unable to get a child sitter for her son. Alessia, being the sister that she was, offered to do it for her but Elizabeth was persistent that Alessia would be the one to attend tonights event.

So, as she stood in the mirror wearing a black, slim dress that she had designed for herself, and her brown hair in a low bun with some stray strands of hair at the side of her face, the nerves managed to catch onto her.

Back when she was the one that would assist her sister to these events, she was the one that they managed to have good conversations with. Elizabeth wasn't exactly 'press friendly', to the point that she never done interviews, so interviewers were certainly in for a surprise tonight.

Touching up her red lipstick one more time, and making sure that her hair is in place, Alessia reaches over and grabs her clutch from the makeup desk beside her. "Okay, Alessia, you can do this. You know what you're doing." she spoke into the mirror, trying to convince herself that everything was going to go smoothly that night.
