Following her small altercation with Elizabeth Cadeiux, Taylor spent the days following thinking about the past and ways to change it.
She had learned the hard way herself, to know that there was no way to change the past. So, she wanted to fix things to a point that she could talk to Alessia again.
If truth be told, since that night, Taylor had only been with one person and they never lived up to Alessia. If she could have it her way, she would say that they just weren't who she was looking for, but in reality, the only person she ever wanted was Alessia.
Since then, Taylor was openly out as bisexual.
It made her feel free in a sense, and she had some scrutiny from the press which she was ready for. However she always thought that it would lead her back to the brunette. She thought back then that it would have been enough to win her over.
Taylor knew that it wasn't enough.
So, she had given her time.
In fact, she had given her years to make it hurt less but now, she was ready to face the music and do whatever it was she could to prove to Alessia that she wanted this now, even more than what she did back then.
She didn't know how to talk to her anymore. So much had changed. They used to go to each other for everything, and now she was finding it difficult to find an excuse to see the brunette. So, Taylor resorted to going straight to her work.
Alessia couldn't hide there, at least not from Taylor. Plus, Taylor needed help with a dress and Elizabeth had sent her in Alessia's direction for that due to the intricate details that Taylor requested. Something that only Alessia could do.
With that in mind, Taylor was back at Cadieux, this time to see the one sister that she needed to really talk to. Outwith work reasons.
Making her way in, Taylor walked over and pressed the floor that she knew Alessia worked in.
Floor 13.
It was an inside thing between the two. Alessia always knew that it was Taylor's favourite number and, since it was a floor that wasn't used in the office due to the superstitions around it, Alessia used that as her floor and became the only person to work on it.
Once the elevator doors opened, she was met with a rather starstruck woman, who Taylor could only imagine was Alessia's assistant.
"Is Miss Cadieux ready for me?" she asked as politely as possible. Taylor watched as the woman in front of her scrambled up from her desk and nodded her head quickly, barely answering Taylor.
"You can go in." She smiled before changing her stance entirely. "I hope you don't mind me saying, but I am a huge fan! I'm Nicola by the way." Nicola squealed, and Taylor couldn't help but laugh in response before entering the room.
There she was.
Alessia Cadieux in her prime.
Taylor observed the girl from a small distance. Her body hunched over a desk at the opposite side of the room, clearly looking at designs that she had made up.
"Hi." Taylor spoke softly, an attempt to gain the others' attention.
Alessia quickly turned round, surprised to see the blonde there. "Um, hi." she started, almost appearing nervous to Taylor but she wasn't used to seeing that side to her.
Taylor didn't know what to say right now. She knew why she had to be here, and that was for outfit designs but there was so much more too.
"I, um, I -" Alessia started, looking back down at the drawings in front of her. "There's still some finishing touches I need to do to some but you get the general consensus."
