Wonder Little Firefighter and BFFS of Cook Children's Vs Brain Tumor Fire

Chapter 1

Hot shot is five years old. He lives with his father Heatwave and mother Quickshadow. They all live a very happy life in Fort Worth Texas.

Heatwave works as a firefighter. He is very brave and strong. He has helped save many lives in his line of work. He works with other firefighters and first responders. He has the respect of his fellow firefighters, the fire captain and fire chief. He had the respect of other first responders too. He knows even the bravest of men get scared. He taught Hot shot the importance of fire safety at a young age, he also taught Hot shot how and when to call 911. He was glad that Hot shot was very smart and understood about it. Heatwave is a great husband and a wonderful father. He loves his wife and son very much.

Quickshadow is a pediatric oncologist who works at Cook Children's hospital. She works very hard to help kids fight cancer. She loves to work with her fellow doctors and nurses. She is very good with the kids too. She does worry that one day that might be her son getting cancer treatment. She knows that cancer is merciless and doesn't care who it strikes. She knows treatment for cancer has improved and many get better from some of the very deadliest kinds of cancer. But her coworkers understand her worries. Quickshadow is an amazing wife and incredible mother. She loves her husband and son with all of her heart.

Hot shot is a highly active child. He loves to run jump climb and play. Hot shot also loves sports, the color yellow, animals, Pokémon, rhinos, fish and chips, and peanut butter cookies. Hot shot also loves to be with his family. Hot shot is normally seen riding his bike, playing on his play set, riding his scooter, and jumping on his trampoline. Hot shot is a child who loves to be on the move all the time. Hot shot is also very kind, loving, smart, caring, and generous child with a big heart. Heatwave and Quickshadow were very proud of the child they have and love him very much. Hot shot also loves his parents very much too. Hot shot was also going to be starting Kindergarten very soon.

Hot shot has other relatives too, he has his grandparents on his father's side. He calls them Pawpaw and Granny, they live in Portland Maine. He has his aunt Hightemp who is his father's older sister and Blazebreak his father's brother in law who are his aunt and uncle. His aunt and uncle have three children, Heatstroke, Fireburst and Blazebreak Jr. they are Hot shot's cousins. He has his grandparents on his mother's side. He calls them Grandad and Grandmum, they live in London England. He has his uncle Murray who lives in Hollywood California who was a very wealthy and famous star with a big heart.

Hot shot also had a few honorary family members too. His father had three very good friends he has had since childhood. Their names were Boulder, Blades and Chase. Boulder is the one who made Hot shot's playset. Blades gave Hot shot a toy medical kit to play with. Chase gave Hot shot a toy police car. Hot shot loved to see them very much he called them uncle out of affection. Blades, Boulder and Chase all came to special occasions. They came on holidays too. It was a lot of fun too.

Hot shot is very happy and healthy child. He hasn't really needed to see a doctor about illness or injury. Hot shot normally got a few bumps, bruises, cuts and scrapes, but that was about it. He got a fever on very rare occasion but got over it fast. But other than that he was an all around heathy child.

However things were about to take a turn. Hot shot began feeling unwell in June. Hot shot woke up with a horrible headache this morning. He felt just terrible. His head felt like it was under pressure. "Ow my head," Hot shot said. Hot shot's stomach wasn't feeling so good either. It feel all queasy.

Hot shot was hardly touching his breakfast. His cereal was turning into mush.

His parents noticed this. "Something wrong with your frosted flakes son?" Heatwave asked.

"No," Hot shot answered.

"Are you feeling alright?" Quickshadow asked.

"No, my head hurts and my tummy feels funny," Hot shot said.
