Hot shot is getting used to is now very busy schedule. Hot shot has to get test done sometimes before and after radiation treatment. Hot shot is wondering about losing his hair.

"Mummy I am wondering about losing my hair what is it like?" Hot shot asked.

"Well Hot shot cancer treatment does many things to your body and losing your hair is one of them." Quickshadow said. "There is a video on it, from the Imaginary Friend Society how about I put it on for you so you can watch it?" she said.

"Okay," Hot shot said. Hot shot began to watch the video. Hot shot learned that chemotherapy and other types of treatment can make his hair fall out. He learned how and when it happens is different for everyone. He might lose just a little hair, or his hair may thin out slowly, or he could lose all of his hair really fast, including his eyebrows and eyelashes. Hot shot learned he can express style after he loses his hair. He can try on all kinds of different, bandana and hats ranging from baseball caps to beanie hats. Hot shot learned that wigs are another option his can try. He can try on different styles of wigs to try a new style of hair, or he can have a wig made to match his hair the way it was before. Something else he could do was just be natural. Hot shot found that kind of interesting. Hot shot was amazed that there were many ways to cope with his hair loss and no way was right or wrong.

"Mummy how do I know if I should wear a wig or some type of bandana or hat, or just be me, or do more than one thing?" Hot shot asked.

"That is a good question Hot shot," Quickshadow said. "You can try out many different things so you can find what you would like to do when your hair does start to fall out," she said.

"Okay," Hot shot said.

Soon Quickshadow took Hot shot out to try out many different wigs, and hats. Hot shot had a lot of fun trying them on and trying to find what he likes best. Hot shot was wondering if he should have a wig, also have a few hats, have a few bandanas and have times when he can be natural.

"I am thinking should I have at least one wig, along with a few hats, a few bandanas and sometimes spend sometime being natural?" Hot shot asked.

"Some kids do, do that Hot shot," Quickshadow said. "What you do is up to you, you are the one who is losing your hair, so you are the one who should decide not me, not your father or anyone else," she said.

"Oh okay," Hot shot said. "If I do get a wig, is possible to make it blonde like my hair currently is?" he asked.

"Yes it is possible," Quickshadow said.

"Or can the wig be very unique and different like designed after a hairstyle of character I like, or be a mix of red and yellow my favorite colors?" Hot shot asked.

"Yes that is possible too," Quickshadow said. "We can look at a few places that do wigs for kids with cancer, some are in towns while others are online, then once you look you can decide what you want," she said. "If you want more than one wig later that is your choice," she said.

"I also want hats too," Hot shot said. "You think grandmum and granny can knit me some beanies I likes those a lot when trying on the hats," he said.

"I am sure they would be happy too," Quickshadow said.

"But I also want bandanas too," Hot shot said.

"Those can easily be bought," Quickshadow said.

"But I am still unsure what I really want," Hot shot said. "I don't know whether or not to do that, or wear a wig, or wear a bandana, or wear a beanie, or be natural," he said.

"Well Hot shot whatever you do it up to you son," Quickshadow said. "You don't have to decide right away, just take your time with it and keep experimenting until you find which of those ways makes you happy," she said. "What matters is that you want to be comfortable and happy with what you are doing to express your style after losing your hair," she said. "Because that is what matters," she said.

"Oh okay," Hot shot said. Hot shot was feeling better after talking to his mother. Hot shot was hoping everything was going to be fine. Hot shot was still experimenting with things and trying to find what he liked over the coming weeks. Hot shot saw there were many different wigs. Some were made with artificial hair, some where made with real hair, and some where made of yarn. Hot shot also looked at all kinds of hats and bandanas.

Hot shot learned how to tie the bandanas when he put them on. Hot shot was able to realized many of these things were very interesting. Hot shot found the yarn wigs to be cool. He saw it can made personalized to him for his needs and size. He didn't see any from characters he really liked though. But he saw they also had beanie hats too.

Hot shot continued to experiment. Hot shot found that he really enjoyed feeling the air against the skin that was showing due to radiation therapy. Hot shot was finding it to be kind of cool. Hot shot was thinking being bald wasn't going to be so bad. He even found pictures of kids rocking the bald and being bald and proud. Hot shot found it to be pretty cool. But he knew he had all the time to decide. But he liked beanie hats and the way to rock the bald looked. But whatever he did was all up to him. He thinks he finally decided too.

"Some days I will wear a beanie hats and other days I will be bald and proud," Hot shot said. "I don't know which I will do more, but I think I will figure it out soon," he said.

"Well I am glad, some kids do decide wearing a covering sometimes and other times they chose to wear anything," Quickshadow said. "You are an individual Hot shot what you do is what you should be," she said.

Hot shot felt better about this. He knew it was going to to be easy but he was ready for it too. Hot shot was even going in for his last radiation treatment. The eight weeks were up and Hot shot was looking forward to finishing up. He went to the clinic and was ready to go.

Hot shot got on the table and laid down on it. Then the mask was snapped into place. Hot shot began to listen to the music that was playing. Hot shot stayed nice and still for it. He was very good at following directions. Soon it was all over. "Okay Hot shot you just finished your last radiation treatment well done," Fred the radiographer said.

Then Hot shot got see Dr. Lopez one last time to make sure he was doing alright after his last treatment. "You will still be feeling the side effect from radiation for a while, but it will soon go away," Dr. Lopez said. "I am proud of how well you have done Hot shot," he said.

"Thank you," Hot shot said.

"Okay now Hot shot let's go home," Quickshadow said. Hot shot followed his mother out.

Soon Hot shot was going to be starting his radiation treatment in November. Because he has to wait four weeks after finishing radiation to start it. When it does happen he was going to be very brave.
