Ethan Williams

I come from a long line of werewolves, one of the oldest families around actually. It has its perks, of course. But it also can suck. Like for one, our dad is the Alpha of our pack. Which means me, or willow will be next in line.

Technically one of us should have taken over already, but Will isn't sure if she wants the title, and I haven't found my mate yet. We turned twenty a couple months ago, and it's been fine. Nothing exciting.

18 was the most exciting, especially for my sister. She found her mate instantly. They built a healthy relationship and now she's pregnant with my niece. Me though? I haven't found my mate.

But I do have a secret no one knows, not even my twin.

I have a slight obsession. It's really not a big deal, but he's the only thing that's mine. No one knows about my obsession. It started at the beginning of the school year, it's april now. So 7 months.

I took Remi, my cousin to school for his first day. It's his senior year. We've been best friends since the beginning, so when he asked me of course i said yes. I took him to school, and I saw the little redheaded boy.

Connor Chase.

He's 17, has one sister and no other family. His mom and dad died during a border attack that happened a couple years back. Not the same one that almost killed my dad, and my sister and i. To be fair we weren't born yet, and dad technically died. Just for a few minutes.

Anyways, he takes care of his sister and himself, has sense he was 14. Which wasn't easy to figure out. He has no friends, because he has a hard time forming relationships. He's moody, and has outbursts. I'm not quite sure what those are about yet, but I've been digging.

My uncle, and my best friend, Xan has bipolar, so I thought maybe Connor's was a form of that. But after talking to my uncles that does not seem to be what's going on.

Everythings on a damn spectrum though. It's different for everyone so you never know what's going on. That's how it feels, anyways.

Connor Chase lives in his old abandoned house that his parents own. The lights are only on half the time, and Connor hops from pack jobs constantly. He can't hold a job longer than a couple months.

I want to take care of him. My issue is control, I have to be in control, always. I want to take care of people. I need to, or I don't feel whole. But how do you take care of someone who doesn't even know you? He's likely heard my name. My dad is Alpha. So he has to know me.

But he hasn't found out I've been following him for 7 months, so I don't know what's going on in his head.

Currently, I'm sitting in my car watching him work his current job at a library. He needs money, so he works human jobs. Werewolf jobs. Any jobs. He puts away books and checks people out. At least that's what he's being doing tonight.

I've been trying to stay off his radar so he doesn't know I'm following him. But i need to hear his voice. I need his eyes on me. I need to have his full attention for just a minute.

So, I climbed out of my car, and made my way inside the library. The bell dings above my head, signaling someone came in.

"Good evening!" Connor yells out, as he checks under the counter for something.

"Good evening" my voice comes out deep and sure. When Connors is frantic and chaotic.

"Oh hey" he pops up from behind the counter. His red curls are all over the place, and he looks like he's been in the middle of a tornado.
