The Nailsage had a strange impression on you.
Your first meeting was he gave you a special treatment by challenging you on the spot, but in the next day you had to attend the school, he treated you like how he would treat any newbie.
There's no special treatment anymore.
But it's probably for the best, because now the students are less fan crazy and more helpful with the things you don't know. Although, Lucius was already doing a great job at that, it was nice to receive more help.
They taught you a lot of things, especially the social norms in the school. The Honorific Bow specifically, because Oro was making such a big deal out of it. It was the Nailarts' way to show respect towards your superior or opponent. Oro was especially offended since he takes being a nailarts' student in high honor, seeing a common person use that gesture came off to him as insensitive.
At the first bell ring, you all had to do a warm up. After that's over and done, the Nailsage will give a brief discussion about nailarts while you would be all sat on your butt, prim and proper, circling the newly fixed arena. –you're still curious how they manage to fix that up so quickly– No different from a martial arts school.
Then you would find partners to practice with.
This one was easy, since you already have Lucius. But the whole class argued and that they take turns getting to know you, so you had a new partner each practice.
After the Nailsage's welcome, you thought that the nailarts practice would be intense. But no, it's just a practiced movement of attack and defense. There wasn't really a required adrenaline.
This gave you the conclusion that the Nailsage definitely screwed you over in the first day.
In the second bell ring for work, the class would be ended with a cool down, and you would all be sent home.
You're not sure why, but no one seems to question your lack of verbal response. Have you really become so well known, that they no longer question your silence?
And so begins your normal bug life as a Nailarts student.

One day, the Nailsage took his students on a feildtrip to Connecting Crossroads. And to your surprise when you jumped inside a well.
A well.
In which you thought was a regular well, but no, it had an entire village below it.
He gave you the task of catching some lumaflies, in order to craft your own lantern.
You didn't know how this could be useful in Dirtmouth, considering it was eternally day. Although this could have been useful in that place, or the underground.
But you live in Dirtmouth, surely you don't need this?
But you learned to craft it anyway, since the master requires it. You now have the lantern, all you need now is to catch some lumaflies.
"Motty, look at me!" You hear Lucius' call, and you turned to his direction, only to find him in a unique predicament.
It seemed that the glowing butterflies find him to be a perfect spot to perch on, seeing that he was basically covered in lumaflies.
"Lucius, how did that even happen!?" Mato asked amusingly.
"I think I heard something about lumaflies being attracted to certain things." Sheo said.
"Are those things including Lucius?" Oro pointed out.
"Maybe."
While they were busy speculating the reasons behind this phenomenon, you took this opportunity to get a lumfly into your lantern without using much effort.
