Sea sniffled as he spoke, his voice trembling. "It's too late now, Hia. You're getting married."
Jimmy's face filled with confusion. "Who told you I'm getting married?"
Sea looked down, the memories of the previous night resurfacing painfully. "You told me last night. You drank a lot at the bachelor party."
A chuckle escaped Jimmy's lips, soft and reassuring. "That wasn't my bachelor party, Sea. It was my friend's."
Sea's eyes widened in realization as the truth settled in. He had misunderstood Jimmy's words. Relief and confusion washed over him in equal measure.
Jimmy reached out, ruffling Sea's hair playfully. "Aww, is that why my Sea was crying? Were you sad because you thought I was getting married?"
Sea blushed, a deep crimson rising to his cheeks. "I just thought... you were getting married to that woman."
Jimmy's brow furrowed in confusion. "What woman?"
Sea looked away, his embarrassment palpable. "The woman you were seeing."
Jimmy's confusion deepened, his face a picture of perplexity. "What are you talking about? I haven't had a girlfriend."
Sea gripped the duvet tightly, the memory of that painful day still vivid in his mind. "The woman I saw in your condo that day..."
A look of realization crossed Jimmy's face as he finally understood. "Sea, you left because you thought she was my girlfriend?"
Sea nodded slowly, his eyes downcast, feeling a mix of relief and shame. Jimmy gently pushed Sea's head with a sigh.
"Sea, that woman you saw was part of a blind date my mom had set up," Jimmy began, his voice a blend of regret and slight amusement. "I was actually waiting for you to come back, with your results when my mom showed up at my condo unannounced, insisting I meet her. We talked, and it turned out she wasn't interested in dating either. She suggested we take a photo together to show our parents we were hitting it off. After that, we planned to tell them we just weren't a good match."
Sea's eyes widened further as he listened to Jimmy's explanation, the pieces of the puzzle finally falling into place. All the misunderstandings and pain he had carried with him for so long suddenly seemed unnecessary, almost absurd.
Jimmy continued, his tone softening as he saw the tears welling up in Sea's eyes again. "I didn't know you saw her or that you would misunderstand the situation so badly. I never wanted to be with anyone else, Sea. It's always been you."
Sea's heart swelled with a mixture of emotions—relief, love, and a tinge of embarrassment for having jumped to conclusions. He looked up at Jimmy, his voice barely a whisper. "I... I thought you didn't like me."
Jimmy's expression softened further, and he pulled Sea into a tight embrace. "I've always wanted you, Sea. Only you."
