Book and Force listened attentively, their expressions shifting from concern to relief as Sea explained. They exchanged glances of relief and nodded as Sea finished recounting the events. But there was still a flicker of concern in Book's eyes.
"So, you met your long-lost childhood friend in the bar?" Book's voice was a mix of incredulity and worry. Sea nodded. "And you just left with him?" Book pressed, his eyebrows knitting together in concern. Sea nodded again, looking down at his hands, which were nervously fidgeting with the edge of the sofa cushion.
Book crossed his arms and frowned. "Sea!"
Sea flinched at the sharpness in Book's voice. Force quickly placed a calming hand on Book's waist. "Mochi, calm down," he said softly. "You're scaring Sea."
Book took a deep breath, letting Force's words sink in. He softened his tone but maintained a serious look. "Sea, even if you left with someone you know, it's still dangerous. You could have just exchanged phone numbers if you wanted to talk. You have to be more careful."
Sea kept quiet, guilt and embarrassment washing over him. His hands gripped the sofa cushion tighter. He knew Book was right. In his impulsive need to reconnect with Jimmy, he had neglected to think about the safety or the worry he would cause his friends.
Book sighed, sensing there was more behind Sea's actions. His voice softened further. "Sea, is he the reason why you've been crying all the time?"
Sea looked up, his eyes meeting Book's. He nodded, his voice barely above a whisper. "Things were complicated... due to a misunderstanding."
Book's expression shifted from frustration to empathy. "So, I figure you guys have talked it out?"
Sea nodded again. "Yes. We cleared everything up. It was all just a huge misunderstanding."
Book's gaze softened as he studied Sea's face. The usual weight of sadness and confusion seemed to have lifted slightly, replaced by a hint of relief and resolution. He sighed, shaking his head slightly as if trying to process everything.
"Sea, have you eaten yet?" Force asked softly, trying to lighten the tension as he looked at Sea.
Sea shook his head. In all the turmoil and emotional upheaval, he had completely forgotten about food.
Force glanced at Book, then gently placed his hand on Book's thigh, tapping lightly. A blend of exasperation and fondness was evident in his voice as he spoke. "Alright, Sea, go freshen up and rest. Book and I will prepare some food for you."
Sea smiled, feeling a wave of gratitude for Book's unwavering support and care. "Thank you, P'Force, P'Book."
Force gave Sea a reassuring pat on the shoulder as he stood up. "We're just glad you're safe, Sea. That's what matters."
