As she was about to knock on the cabin's door, it swung open unexpectedly, causing her to flinch and stumble back. Just as she was about to hit the ground, two strong, veiny arms caught her, preventing her fall.
Having felt no pain, she slowly opened her eyes to find herself staring into Jungkook's darkened gaze. His eyes were a storm of worry and something deeper, something almost vulnerable.
In that moment, their eyes conveyed volumes, heartbeats racing in tandem, both desperately trying to capture every fleeting detail of this profound moment—a new wave of emotion that could alter the course of their lives.
As they stood there, mere inches apart, Jungkook's mind raced with thoughts. "Why are your eyes so captivating behind those glass barriers? Why is my heart functioning abnormally? And... ahh, your lips..." He shook his head slightly, feeling the weight of his thoughts pressing down on him. "Shit, Jungkook, get a grip. What are you even thinking?"
With a sudden jerk, he corrected his posture and instinctively moved away from her, creating space between them. The abrupt motion caused him to stumble slightly, his mind still in a haze.
Fumbling to compose herself, Yn cleared her throat. "I am sorry, Mr. Jungkook. I didn't mean to fall on you... Please excuse me. I was about to kno..." She trailed off, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
Jungkook cut her off, his tone colder than intended. "Yeah, I get it. But, why did you come to me, anyway?" The words were sharp, a knee-jerk reaction to mask the turmoil stirring within him.
"Oh... I just wanted to inform you that I've completed the assignment you gave me, Mr. Jeon, and I would like you to verify my work." Her voice was soft, almost timid, which only made the tension in the air thicker.
Jungkook POV:
Hearing her words, I am damn surprised. Is she even an human, I guess an Alien....what the hell you are thinking Jungkook...damn...
"How the he....I mean how did you complete in such a...a short time. Anyway I will verify it and let you know." I spoke trying to hide my astonished tone.
"Okay Mr. Jeon. I will take my leave for today then. Thank you." she sweetly speaks and bows while leaving me with my unstable and amused thoughts.
Ah and this stupid heart why are you beating so annoyingly haa....I need to see Jin Hyung..I should seriously get it tested and I hope I don't have any heart disease...
Again this stupid thinking....Jungkook what happened to you...why am I am behaving like this...
Get yourself...damn...
I should see hyung immediately.......
