As the next day unfolded, Jungkook found himself battling an unexpected sense of emptiness. With Yn absent from the office, he couldn't help but feel the weight of her absence pressing down on him. He had ordered that she take a three-day leave to recover, worried about her well-being, but now he was engulfed in a wave of regret.
Seated in his cabin, the usual rhythm of productivity eluded him. Piles of files loomed on his desk, reminders of the work that needed his attention, yet his fingers mindlessly toyed with his pen, tracing idle circles on the polished surface. A fleeting glance at the paperwork was enough to confirm that his focus was nowhere to be found.
Thoughts of Yn filled his mind, stealing his concentration and fueling his longing. He couldn't shake off the memory of her last smile—a heartfelt expression of gratitude that seemed to light up the room. It was as if that simple gesture had ignited a fire within him, and he felt the stirrings of a new enthusiasm, one that centered around her presence.
His whirl of thoughts came to a halt when there was a knock on his cabin door, breaking the spell that had kept him trapped in reflections of Yn.
Jungkook quickly straightened his posture, trying to shake off the lingering feelings of wistfulness as he called out, "Come in."
The door creaked open with an unexpected entrance, and Jungkook looked up to find Jin stepping inside, a warm smile spreading across his face.
"Jin hyung! How come you're here? Don't you have duty today?" Jungkook asked, genuinely surprised as he walked over and pulled Jin into a brotherly hug.
Jin chuckled lightly, giving Jungkook a few pats on the back before stepping back and holding his shoulders to look him in the eye. "I had off duty at the hospital today, so I thought I'd drop by. Yesterday was exhausting, especially since I saw you were at the hospital to look after Yn."
Jungkook sighed, feeling a wave of concern wash over him again. He gestured toward the sofa and plopped down, grateful for Jin's presence.
Jungkook's POV:
"Hyung.....................................................................................................................

......................................................................................................................................................
......................................................................................................................................................
....................................................................................................................................................!"
I shared everything with Hyung because I couldn't keep my feelings bottled up any longer. I needed to express all the turmoil in my mind and heart, especially the sudden changes I foresee for my future.
