Author's POV:

As the dawn broke, Jungkook concluded his discharge work and made his way to Yn's room, where he knew the elderly matriarch, Grandma, and her precious granddaughter were eagerly awaiting their departure from the hospital's antiseptic confines. The air was thick with the scent of disinfectant, which only served to heighten their sense of unease.

As he entered the room, Jungkook greeted Grandma with a 90-degree bow, his calm demeanor a stark contrast to the cold reserve that still lingered within him.

"Hello, Grandmaa...sorry Mrs. Choi. I'm Jungkook" he said warmly with hesitant voice. "It's nice to meet you."

Grandma's eyes crinkled at the corners as she smiled, her gratitude palpable. "Oh..you can call me grandma dear and Nice to meet you too, Jungkookah," she replied, her voice filled with warmth.

"Thank you so much for taking care of Yn. You've been an absolute angel."

Jungkook's face twisted into a contrite expression as he spoke, his words tumbling forth in a rush.

"No, no, no... please don't thank me, Grandma. I should be apologizing for causing Yn so much pain. I'm truly sorry for my part in her condition worsening. Please forgive me."

Grandma's expression softened, her voice gentle as she replied,

"Oh, dear Jungkook, that's not necessary at all. Yn has already told me what happened, and I understand that it was just an unfortunate event. No one is to blame. In fact, I'm grateful that Yn is working under someone as compassionate as you. Your kindness means a great deal to me."

As Jungkook stood there, absorbing Grandma's words of wisdom, he couldn't help but be struck by her magnanimity. He glanced at Yn, who was sitting quietly, her eyes fixed intently on the conversation unfolding before her.

"That's so thoughtful of you Grandma. Now I will drive you both home" Jungkook said, gesturing towards the door.

Grandma's face creased in a gentle refusal. "No dear, we can manage on our own. We wouldn't want to trouble you further."

Jungkook's expression turned persuasive, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled. "Please, Grandma, let me drive you home. It's the least I can do." Grandma's resolve weakened under Jungkook's charming smile, and she nodded reluctantly.

The ride home was characterized by a comfortable silence punctuated by staccato bursts of conversation about the weather and shared laughter. Though Yn remained silent throughout, her eyes fixed on the cityscape outside the window as if absorbing every detail like a sponge.

Jungkook couldn't help but notice the way her glasses perched on the bridge of her nose, giving her an endearing appearance that sent a tingling sensation through his chest.

As they pulled up to Grandma's residence, Jungkook felt a sense of satisfaction wash over him, knowing that he had been able to make a small difference in their lives despite his earlier mishap.
