"What does all this mean?" Adrian asked quietly, rather to himself.
"I don't know, but we can still think about it tomorrow. We should go to sleep, after all, tomorrow is the first day of school." Amelie replied yawning.
She had drained the whole thing quite a bit. Adrian and Graham nodded to her and everyone went their way. At her dormitory door, Amelie listened to see if she heard anything from inside. But it was quiet Mucksmäuschen. She quietly pushed down the latch and closed the door just as quietly after she had stepped in. Hannah was still awake and sitting in her bed. Apart from Hannah, Samantha and her, no one was there.
"Where are the others?" Amelie asked in amazement.
"Probably still at the party. But now tell me, what else was going on after we left?" Hannah asked excitedly.
"It seemed like it was a bigger thing." Brought in Samantha, who had held back all the time.
Amelie sat down on her bed.
"It seems to be the same. After what you noticed, Flint didn't say more either. Adrian had only asked him why he didn't talk to them and Flint's answer was only that it was none of their business and he wanted to keep them out of it. After that he left." Amelie told Me about the events.
"Does Ariana have anything in her hand against him?" Samantha asked.
"No idea, but it sounds like that when he says he has no other choice. But I'm not sure. It may also be that it was just fake." Gave Amelie to think about.
"But he didn't seem that he was pretending something when he had said that. But what I don't understand, why does he insist so on your past." Hannah threw in.
"Well, that's something I need to find out. Because I think somehow everything is connected." Amelie thought.
She had not let go of this feeling since the discussion in the common room. But what should it be.
"Amelie is trying to sleep. It was probably an exciting day for you anyway, with the whole change of school. Tomorrow the world will look different." Samantha tried to travel her out of her thoughts.
Amelie nodded. She knew Samantha was right. She quickly changed her clothes and lay down in her bed. She closed her to emerald-colored curtains on her bed and closed her eyes. But pictures of the conversation appeared again and again in front of her inner eye. It wore her head that she no longer knew what had been before her time in France. Was Flint right that she had given him a promise? Why did he give her the necklace back then? Did he also give her a promise? Questions about questions. And the way she assessed the situation, she had to find out the truth as soon as possible. In any case, that's what her feeling told her.
She tried to shake off her thoughts. When she did that after ages, which felt like hours, she fell into a restless sleep.
Suddenly an alarm clock rang. Amelie opened her eyes. She felt as if she had just slept for two hours. Slowly she opened her curtain and saw Hannah get up cheerfully.
"What time do we have?" Amelie asked yawning.
"Just before seven. We should go down for breakfast soon before, so that we can go to class in time afterwards. We will then also get our timetables." Hannah explained as she walked by and went into the adjacent bathroom.
Amelie moaned. She wasn't even ready to sit in class. Too much they had kept the thoughts awake and the restless sleep had done the rest.
Her gaze roamed through the dormitory. No one was there anymore. She quickly got up, put on her school uniform, which was neatly lying on a chair next to her bed. When she had just finished getting dressed, Hannah came out of the bathroom. Amelie quickly grabbed her toothbrush and toothpaste and also went in. She brushed her teeth in no time. Only then did she notice that she had forgotten her hairbrush. She hurriedly rushed into the hall again, rummaged out her brush and sprinted back into the bathroom. Within a few seconds, she brushed her hair.
