Kanik was Looking for the 'Maiden's Grail'

Chapter Fifty-Two:

Akand Village

On a secluded and quiet island far away from two clans of Vampires and Humans, in a place where all my life I have grown up more than in the palace that I can only visit once when my father, the king, sends me.

I'm not complaining, in fact, I'd rather just stay here on the island than go back to the palace where I don't have the freedom to do what I want. In the palace, I almost just stay in my room and if I want to go out, I can only go around the palace and I am not allowed to go elsewhere.

So that's how sad I am every time I go back at the palace. And the only thing I enjoy when I am in the palace is whenever I am with Wei, who is a pure human. She came from here in Akand Village and since Wei and I became friends she has been my nanny every time I return to the palace. So somehow, I still feel normal because of her even just for a while because in the end of the day, I'm still the Princess of Manu Clan.

"Lady Siara!" suddenly one of the villagers came rushing towards me as if she was carrying bad news.

"What is it?" I quickly asked her.

"The creatures that want to take over our place have returned." She answered. "And it looks like they will now insist on their conquest of our area."

I take a deep breath because I already knew who they are and what they really want. "I'll talk to them." I said and went out first.

Meanwhile...

"How much longer to convince them?" I asked Maury impatiently.

"Sorry Sir, but it looks like they really have no intention of leaving this island."

"Then, we have no choice. Do as I say." I ordered and Maury immediately does as I said but then it took him a long hour and I still couldn't hear the scream that I badly wanted to hear.

Reason for me to feel impatient and get up from my seat to go to my people, but to my surprised not one of my men did anything to kill the people on the island. That made me very angry because I did not expect them not to obey what I commanded.

I was about to go when I saw Maury talking intensely from the entrance of the path of the village and as I look at it. He was talking to a woman and it seemed to be seriously talking to him. What are they talking? I asked myself and listen from a far.

"You have no right to take this island by force." She spoke. "Because when something bad happens to the people here in the village, I'm sure something bad will happen to all of you and I know you won't like that to happen." she strongly stated and I already knew she had something on her sleeves.

Who is she anyway? Does she know anything about the 'maiden's grail'? I curiously asked myself as I listen to them and yet I won't get any answer if I stayed here and just listening. So, I rather asked her directly.

"Who are you? Are you a Witch?" I directly asked her as soon as I walk between my men.

She looks at me without confusion as if she already knew who I am. "I am not but I know what you were looking for." She answered that surprised me. "But sad to say, the thing that you were looking wasn't here anymore."

"What do you mean?"

"Someone already took it out of the Village. Because this someone—ahh!" I pushed her through the wall because the anger that I felt after hearing that the thing that I was looking for so long was already been gone to this place. "What are you doing?!" she madly asked.

"If you are lying, I'll kill you!"

"Really? Then, kill me! But you have nothing to gain by killing me because the thing you are looking for is no longer here. And as I have said earlier, when there is bloodshed in this land you can never avoid what is destined to happen when even one person who lives here dies." She intensely answered.

"Sir!" Maury called out. "I think she was telling the truth." He spoke.

"What!" I madly replied.

"This land is protected and if someone tries to kill one of the villagers it will curse us all."

"You heard him, now let go!"

* * *

Present...

"No worries I don't need your approval. I just want you to know."

I can't believe what I heard from Kanik. The words he uttered were meaningful and I already knew what he meant. He will force me to be one of them, be a Vampire. Not knowing who I am he will just force himself just to get me.

"Are you so obsessed with me?" I asked.

"Obsess... I don't think so." He replied. "But all I know is that I like you the reason why I want you to be mine."

I shake my head. "But you cannot force me to do what you wanted."

"Don't worry as much as I said, I just want you to know what I want." He said and smiled before he said goodbye and left me a bit surprised.

"What do you want me to do with him?"

I smiled as soon as my guardian came out from the dark corner of the street. "Calm down for now, Deal." I spoke. "Besides I don't want to make a scene that will get their attention to know who I really am."

"But in the tone of his words, I was sure he was planning something bad."

"I now." I replied. "But you don't have to worry about it."

"But my Lady."

I look at her. "This is my command. Don't do anything necessarily and don't worry much because he can't do anything bad to me."
