Osano's Confession

It's the end of the day and Osano walked up to Ayoshi as he changed his shoes. "Hey!"

"Yes?"

"A new cat cafe opened up nearby... do you wa-want to go... together?" Osano asked with a blush.

Ayoshi nodded. "Ok."

"Go-good!" Osano looked down at his feet, feeling nervous.

Ayoshi threw his bag over his shoulder. "Lead the way."

The two walked out of the school and they walked side by side on the street. Their hands swung close together, grazing. 'I wonder if I could just...' Osano reached out his hand to grab Ayoshi's, but-

"Achoo!" Ayoshi lifted his arm to sneeze in his elbow.

Osano frowned, "Bless you." They soon arrived at the cat cafe and he held the door open for Ayoshi.

"Thank you." Ayoshi walked in to see cats lazing around on the furniture and cat trees. They walked up to the counter.

The cashier smiled. "Welcome! What can I get for you?"

Ayoshi looked at the menu. "I'll take a hot chocolate with a strawberry cake."

"I'll take a cappuccino and an egg sandwich."

"That will be ¥3000."

Ayoshi took out his wallet, but Osano stopped him. "Mm?"

"I'll pay!" Before Ayoshi could do anything, Osano gave the cashier the money. "I invited you so... I should pay."

Ayoshi put his wallet away. "Thank you."

The cashier gave them their order and gave them a bag of treats. "These are complimentary cat treats. If you would like more, it will be ¥100. All the cats here are up for adoption, so enjoy!"

"Thank you." Osano led Ayoshi to sit on a couch pressed against the light orange wall. They placed their order on the table in front of them.

Soon a calico came up and rubbed against Ayoshi's leg. "Hello, kitty." He scratched underneath the cat's chin, making him purr.

Osano petted the calico's head with the back of his hand. "Let's see what you're called." He looked at the cat's tag, reading, "Koro. What a nice name."

Koro let out a little meow and jumped onto the couch in between them. He perched his front paws on the table, standing. He smacked the bag of treats and then looked at Ayoshi with big eyes.

"Oh, you want treats." Ayoshi opened the bag and held out a treat in his palm. Koro quickly ate the treat, accidentally licking his palm. He opened and closed his palm, feeling ticklish from Koro's rough tongue.

Noticing this, Osano laughed. "Sometimes it can take getting used to." He was about to give Koro a treat when another cat came up. A chunky American shorthair jumped beside him and lifted his chin arrogantly. "Oh, you want a treat t-"

"I'm sorry, sir, but you can't feed Chunky." The worker from earlier came up and picked up Chunky. She gave them a smile. "He's on a diet and can't be fed excessively. It's actually time for his workout." She lifted Chunky's paw and waved. "Say bye, Chunky." Chunky's eyes narrowed into a fierce glare and he yowled, but he did not fight the worker.

"He looks like you, Osano-kun. He has the same pouty face."

"No we don't!" Osano exclaimed, pouting.

Ayoshi pointed. "You're doing it now."

Osano crossed his arms. "Hmph!"

"It's cute."

Osano blushed, relaxing. After thinking it over, he laughed. "We really do look alike!"
