My hatred for Billie grows and grows more each day.
"Mar, guess what?"
I look back and see Leilani back at her register. We're at work currently.
"What?" I ask.
"We're finally getting a new employee." She tells me. "Thank fucking god. It's literally always just us on the registers." I sigh.
"I know, ri-"
Leilani stops her sentence and just stares behind me. "You good, Lei?" I furrow my brows.
"Hey, Mari."
I hear that stupid, irritating voice and turn around to see Billie.
"The fuck do you want?" I roll my eyes. "Don't you mean, 'Hi, how are you?'" She smiles innocently. "No." I answer. "C'mon, don't be a bitch, Mar. Ring me up, baby." Billie says.
I don't say anything, just scan the stuff she's buying. "You know we have self checkout, right? Like, ten items or less which you have." I sigh in annoyance.
"I know, but I want you to do it." She replies. "Fine." I say.
I finish checking her out before I give her her total. She pays and takes her bag, but doesn't leave. "Can I help you with anything else?" I ask.
