Skylar's been acting distant lately.

I'm worried.

We've been dating almost 3 months and things were perfect until they weren't.

But I love her a lot.

I've been crushing on her since freshman year and I'm finally dating her, so why am I so unhappy?

She has it all.

Just like Amara.

She could have anyone she wanted, but she chose me.

And Amara could have any girl she wants, too. I mean, just look at her.

I'll never be able to compete.

Why am I thinking of Amara?

I should be thinking of my girlfriend, shouldn't I?

I'm an idiot.

Maybe I'll go surprise Skylar. I miss her and maybe she's just down lately and that's why she's distant.

That's gotta be the reason, right?

Yeah.

I think so.

I grab my keys off my dresser and shove them in my pocket before picking a pair of shoes to wear from my unnecessarily big ass collection.

I go downstairs and say "I'm going out, bye!"

I walk out the door and go to my car, then start driving to the store. Once I get there, I go inside and go to the flowers. I pick out a bouquet of roses and put them under my arm, trying not to crush them.

I then go to the register and take out my wallet. I pay and smile at the woman. "Thanks."

When I'm done, I go back to my car and get in before driving to Skylar's house.

I twist the doorknob and it's unlocked. I open the door and quietly shut it behind me.

Her parents aren't here; I learned that since their cars aren't in the driveway, so I quietly walk up the stairs. I open the door to her room with a smile on my face, but it quickly drops and so do the flowers.

"Fuck, you feel so good." Skylar moans.

"What the fuck?!" I yell.

Her and the girl between her legs look over with widened eyes. Skylar quickly pushes the girl off and covers up. "Baby, I-"

"I don't wanna hear it. Don't even." I say, blinking back tears.

Don't cry, Billie, don't cry.

"Billie, I swear, it's not what it looks like." Skylar tells me. "Oh, I think it's exactly what it looks like." I scoff. "We're done. Don't fucking talk to me ever again." I say before storming out of the room and down the stairs.

I quickly run outside and into my car, driving off as fast as I can before she can catch up.

She cheated on me.
