"Baby, let's goooo!" I groan.
"God, you are so impatient. Has anyone ever told you that?" Amara huffs as she walks down the stairs.
"Yeah, you, like, a thousand times." I roll my eyes. "And for good reason." She replies. "I was packing us some extra clothes since someone forgot." Amara says, closing the bag.
"I'm just excited, alright?" I frown. "I know, baby, I know." She nods. "Let's go."
We're going to the beach to ride a jet ski today. I know damn well I'm gonna be driving Amara around the entire time, so I don't know why I'm so excited.
She's gonna be complaining the whole time for me to slow down.
I hear that a lot in more than one way.
Amara and I walk out to the car and get in. I start driving after she puts the bag in the backseat and start to make our way to the beach.
It's a bit of a long drive though.
"Can I put our playlist on while we drive?" Amara asks. "Go ahead, baby." I smile.
We made a playlist of songs that we think about each other when we hear them.
Amara connects her phone to the car and starts playing 'Girl with the Tattoo' by Miguel.
"Oh, baby, did I tell you I'm dyeing my hair next week?" I ask Amara.
"Again? I feel like it's been black for not that long." She chuckles. "What color are you dyeing it?"
"It's a surprise." I wink. "I wanted a new color since the black kind of got boring." I add as I shrug.
"Well whatever color it is, I know it'll look great.
Everything looks great on you. Like, you could dye your hair the ugliest color and you'd still look hot." Amara replies."Thanks, mama." I smile softly and kiss the top of her hand.
'Those Eyes' by New West comes on and I look over at Mar with a grin. "I love this song."
"I love you." She smirks. "I love you more, baby." I respond in a chuckle.
When we get to the beach, we grab our stuff and walk down to the place that rents out the jet skis.
"Hi, I have a reservation to use a jet ski from 12:30-1:45." I say to the man at the front desk. "Under Eilish?" He asks. "How'd you know?" I ask. "You're Billie Eilish, aren't you?" He chuckles. "Everyone knows you."
"Oh, yeah, that's me." I laugh softly. "Alright, well, Miss Eilish, here's a waver for you both to sign." The man says. Amara and I both sign it and he gives us the key to the jet ski. "Do you know how to use it?" He asks.
"Yeah, I can drive one." I nod. "Okay, here are your life jackets." He replies, handing them to us. "Thank you." I smile. "Of course. Have a fun time." He grins.
We go down to the water and find the man helping people find their jet ski.
We tell him our number and he helps us get on. "We give everyone a free picture if you would like one." The man says.
